Excellent Middle Eastern restaurant. Best in the Pittsburgh area. Proprietors are wonderful people.
We wanted to try them before we head back to Philly after a weeklong stay at Children’s. After they heard our story, they offered to open two hours early to cook our meal for us to take home. They even threw in some complimentary salads and sides just out of kindness. But let me tell you, best rice any of us have ever had anywhere, and the kabobs were perfectly cooked. Look forward to a leisurely return to Pittsburg to have their delicious food again. Thank you to the owners for their kindness!!
Delicious authentic food! Super warm and friendly greetings from the owner! We definitely will be back!
Horrible service and food subpar. I arrived at 530. The waiter took our orders and then told us after we placed our orders that it would take sometime to get our orders. They also said they would get us some rice for our two year old. We didn’t get our food until 7. Also they came out and said they didn’t have rice for my two year old. Food was very basic for your middle eastern cuisine. Server was new but very nice. There a lot better options in Pitt.
Food was amazing, 5/5, no more description needed :)
Had a great Thanksgiving Dinner takeout. The lamb shank was so tender and flavorful. Looking forward to going back for dine in.
My husband went to their website and saw the vaccine restrictions. We go there every year for my birthday. We don’t have the vaccine, so I called last Friday and was assured someone would call me back- no one did. I guess we will go elsewhere from now on until they stop this ridiculous restriction.
Incredible people, filled with so much kindness, everything they make is AMAZING!!
I am very disappointed that this restaurant is requiring a vaccination card to dine in. I have always loved this place but they have lost my business along with others. This is still a free country ! Freedom of choice and no one should ever try to take that away. A lot of law suits because of Covid mandates.
This place is like an old friend, reliable and consistent. During my latest visit, the service was great, attentive without being intrusive, and included a cheerful and sincere welcome from the owner. The wait time for our food was a bit slow, but that's the case with many restaurants right now, due to the pandemic. I was glad to see they're still observing COVID safety protocols. My dinner companion and I enjoyed fresh hummus with warm pita as an appetizer, followed by nicely-presented chicken shawarma platters. Everything was delicious. The atmosphere was pleasant, though the background music was a bit much. All in all, a more than satisfying experience!
