$16 for a 6 cut pizza with basically no sausage on it all. Ridiculous

We visited for the first with our grnadson who recommended it. We had never had Detroit style pizza and loved it We split a veggie supreme and he had the spicy pie. We all agreed the pizza was outstanding. Also, having Iron City beer was a real treat. We highly recommend Iron Born and will defitely return on our next visit to Pittsburgh.

Excellent pizza in heart of Strip District. Detroit-style 6 square-cut pizzas. Very much worth the hype. Enjoyed the spicy and the classic pizzas. Several craft beers on tap.

Similar to a Detroit style or Sicilian pizza but better! One pizza is plenty enough for 2 people. Small restaurant so expensive t a wait during evening hours.

Walked in the other day and asked if there were breadsticks on the menu since my kids are picky. They didn't have them exactly, so I just got a basic cheese pizza. Came back to pick it up in 20 minutes and the staff surprised us and added a little side of dough baked with just some cheese (I think it was like the garlic pull part bread, but with just the cheese) for the kids. It was very thoughtful and appreciated! Also, the square pizza was very yummy! Thank you to the kind staff.

I have never had Detroit style pizza, or even deep dish for that matter, but this is really good pizza! I order delivery today via UberEats and it arrived within a reasonable amount of time. The order consisted of a forager pie and a cannoli.I must say, I'm not usually a fan of thicker crust pizzas. Normally, I prefer a thin and crunchy pie. However, the forager pie made me reconsider this opinion. The bottom is crispy and buttery. The edges are cheesy and crispy as well. Soo good! And, the base itself is like a delicious, fluffy focaccia bread. The toppings are plentiful, too. Honey is subtle and not overpowering, but a great touch. Love the ricotta and the high quality herbs. Mushrooms are well cooked, but I would have liked more of them. The cannoli was only $2 and it was quite large. A little bit soggy, but the inside was creamy and subtly sweet. Quite good! A bit of zest to it. If I was being picky, the price for the pizza is a little expensive given the size. However, it is much higher quality than the competition, which makes up for the smaller portions in my opinion. All in all, this is a great introduction to deep dish or Detroit style pizza. I'm glad there is a pizza shop in Pittsburgh offering this style of pie (I rate this place a 4.5/5). If you're looking for some of the highest quality pizza in Pittsburgh, check out Iron Born!

expensive. Asked for a topping, it either wasn’t on there or it wasn’t the right topping. Said it would be ready at 7:15 to 7:45 for pickup. it was ready early got the text at 7:02, but I wasn’t there until 7:15. So, it was cold. Just annoyed that 4 pizzas, 1 appetizer, and some Mexican cokes costs $120 for lack luster pizza. It was great before at the galley. Very disappointed this time. garlic pull apart thing was boring—waste of money and calories. Chips were not even close to being appetizing like the picture. Please contact me.

Really fresh and premium toppings. Nice thick detroit crust. Very friendly staff. Yinzers better give this one a try!
