Now when I travel to University of Pittsburgh to visit my son I can get a NYC quality bagel. This past weekend I was feeling a little health conscious though and checked out the rest of Gussy’s menu. I decided to get a Robin Who’s Rachel sandwich. The Gussy’s famous sauce was excellent. The sandwich was delicious and portions were huge. My wife had an everything bagel with Gussy’s veggie cream cheese and she liked it very much. The restaurant was very clean and roomy. The service was quick and courteous.
Such great bagels and friendly service! We got an everything bagel with plain schmear and an egg and salt bagel with scallion schmear--both were delicious, but the scallion schmear was amazing. They had a bunch of fun flavors of cream cheese to choose from. I ended up here when my usual bagel spot sold out but I'll definitely be back!Parking: Not much parking close by

Every time I have gone here to eat, Riley and Brandon have always gone above and beyond. Not only are they exceptional employees but they are genuinely good people. The owner Scott was even in one time and was kind enough to explain how Gussy's came to be. Not only is the food here delicious but you can order freshly prepared deli meats by the pound. Gussy's has become my favorite breakfast and lunch place on Fifth avenue and would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a quality bagel or sandwich. ?
The bagel itself was very good. If you haven't had something "in months" take it off your menu (Taylor ham). Watched the guy making the bagels pick up wet garbage off the floor and then turned around and touched every wet bagel coming out of the boiler without changing his gloves. Watched the girl making the bagel sandwiches sneeze into her hand, without a mask, and continue making sandwiches without washing her hands or changing gloves. There were bagels on the floor, and it overall was dirty. Would absolutely recommend everyone steer clear of this place, really disgusting. Was very disappointing because I was hoping for a great deli.
First time ordering from here. I was super excited for a bacon egg and cheese bagel. Bit into my sandwich and the bacon was raw.
Love a chewy bagel with butter and gussy’s is the one , the lox is so fresh too , this is definitely a great bagel , cheers to the creator , I love them
Service was friendly, but had to repeat order multiple times. Interior not exactly inviting, looks like a Subway for the most part. Food was ok, quite over priced for what you get.
Amazing food, I had “ the big bootch”. It was perfect! This is a must do for pittsburgh. Really a hidden gem
If I could give them 6 stars I would!!! Food was amazing and when they accidentally forgot our hash browns they delivered them for free, and included a cup of soup because we weren’t feeling well! 12/10 for customer service!!!
