Geppetto cafe was an absolute gem we stumbled upon on a weekend getaway trip. From the decor, to the service, to the food, it was an excellent experience. Sweet and savory crepes and waffles along with impressive french toast options and paninis make this menu a home run. Had the raspberry goat cheese french toast and it delivered in spades. Good amount of coffee drinks and tea varieties and vegetarian friendly. Friendly and attentive staff. This will be a new must on our next trip out to Pittsburgh.
On a scale of romances to documentaries, Geppetto Cafe is a French novel with its ode to crepes. The cafe is small, but they cycle through tables fairly quickly. While we were told it would be a thirty minute wait, we were pleased to be sat more quickly. The decor is marvelous, and the menu delights.I ordered French toast, and it was perfection.Parking is a bit challenging, but there is a nearby paid parking lot or you can search for a parallel parking spot along one of the many roads.
This place is incredible. They have the best Iced Vanilla Latte and Iced Coffee I have EVER had. Not to mention the Apple French toast. Please stop here if you ever get the chance!! This was the best French toast and coffee I have ever had! Great service too!
This place is a must stop. Whether it’s the coffee or the crepes, or a full brunch dish (my personal favorite). You cannot go wrong. The sweet and savory crepes were all made to perfection, even if you’re not hungry. Order one. Just do it.Great spot to go with some friends or maybe for a coffee date. All three of our orders were delicious. I left the city, and I can’t wait to go back! The staff was really nice and friendly, and the space is aesthetically pleasing and deserves the appreciation for their decor. Subtle and classy.
Every time we come to Pittsburgh, we have at least one breakfast here. We love the crepes and the waffles/French toast. Large menu of sweet and savory options. Everything is fresh and delicious, also very fast for as busy as they always are. You can expect a wait at peak times, but I recommend putting your name on the list and going for a stroll. During the nice months there are tables outside for additional seating. One of the few places you can get a Turkish coffee. Good variety of coffees, teas, milkshakes. Super cute decor. Efficient. Priced fairly. A local staple!
Really delicious food, but this place is really busy in the mornings. I decided to order online and got the Merry Berry Crepe as well as the Apple Tree French Toast. Its not cheap for breakfast, but not overly expensive either.Portions were pretty fair for the price. The French toast has more cream cheese than I expected. However, it was still very good. Fluffy and thick. The apples were caramelized and not too crunchy or too soft. It came with whipped cream for free. Plus, the cinnamon flavor was present but not overpowering.I thought the berry crepe was good as well. Again, the price was fine. It had many different types of berries: strawberries, blackberries, and blueberries in large quantities. The crepe itself was well made. I would have personally liked more Nutella on it, though. Seemed like it was more of a garnish than a main component.Overall, check this spot out if you are in Lawrenceville. It's got both sweet and savory breakfasts. However, expect the place to be packed and consider scheduling ahead of time if you are coming on a weekend.
I took my best friend here for her birthday because she loves crepes and their crepes are awesome.A large selection of both healthy, main dish type crepes, and dessert crepes, which although not super healthy are super delicious! (My favorite)I also liked the atmosphere. Both the decor and atmosphere are very mid-century French, and you feel immediately at home. The owner and staff were also friendly and helpful. Definitely going back for a second meal.

Great cosy place! We ordered two savory crepes with chicken and fish + one sweet crepe with pistachio creme. All of them very delicious, they also have good tea ☕️
Absolutely delicious food. Great atmosphere. Great service.
