Fl. 2 is a true hidden gem in downtown Pittsburgh (don’t tell anyone!). The taste of the food here is incredible — super flavorful — but the service takes it to another level. Huge thank you to Sandy, who served my family and I for a loved one’s birthday. Sandy absolutely went above and beyond to make the experience amazing. This restaurant might be in the same building as a hotel but it is far from a hotel restaurant. Can’t wait to come back!

Excellent food. Good service - Sandy was our waitress. I thoroughly enjoyed our Sunday brunch.

We went on a Thursday night and it was not busy. Fun view of the kitchen activities or downtown from the eating area. No bread served while waiting, but other guests seemed to be enjoying cocktails which are just not our thing. Their appetizers were solid— house mustard (available on the charcuterie plate) is a must-try! The main course and side dishes we had were ok. They were very responsive and brought another when the steak came out medium well instead of medium rare. We picked a plum tart with basil ice cream for desert and the ice cream was fantastic but the crust and tart were unremarkable. Don’t regret going, but not likely to be in our list to return.

Everything was excellent! My steak was seasoned and cooked perfectly. My wife said her salmon was the best she has ever had. We will definitely be heading back!

As always, fl. 2 exceeded expectations. Jerrod is the best waiter on staff, and we love that we have him every time we come in. Give him a raise! ;-)

My special birthday dinner was a disaster! We asked for two glasses of champagne which I was told was sold by the glass. However it was never mentioned to me that it was $44 a glass or suggested to buy a bottle & give options for other choices. I ordered the branzino and it was so fishy and terrible I had three or four bites of it and that’s all I could eat. The best part of my dinner was the raspberry parfait and coffee at the end. Our waiter was very pleasant just not informative……he should have told us about the cost of a glass of champagne! Our total bill was $281.41 plus a 20% tip!!! …(Table 31; check296481)

Service was fantastic! Would visit again. They made my daughter's birthday special.

We dined at Floor 2 in July 2022. Went into Pittsburgh for a couple of nights for our anniversary from Ontario. We saw a Pirates game the first night, and wanted a high end nice dinner for the second night. First time dining there. We did make comments of it being our anniversary when we booked. The food was quite good overall. We were disappointed by the service to be honest. Our server didn't seem to have any idea of how to time a meal. We ordered cocktails to start, charcuterie to share, each got an entrée and ordered a bottle of white wine to share during dinner. The first sign of something being off was when the server brought out our wine and had us try it and he poured it before our cocktails were even half done. This was disappointing for sure, being white wine. Next odd thing was when he cleared my wife's entrée plate when I was still eating. He then brought dessert menus to the table while I was still eating my entrée.(I am not a slow eater by any means. Quite the opposite actually) He cleared my plate, and asked if we had decided on anything for dessert. We declined, and he said no problem. He brought the bill over immediately, and placed it on the table. This happened when our bottle of wine was at least 2/3s full. We slid the bill to the edge of the table and enjoyed our wine for the next 30 minutes or so. We found the entire service rushed, which really wrecked it for us. We're the type to have a nice long dinner and order a couple of bottles during everything. I'm not sure if he just wanted to get out of there, or has no idea how to time out a meal. Also zero acknowledgment of our anniversary by anyone there. Unfortunately won't be rushing back to Floor 2, which is too bad. It's a beautiful spot, and the food is quite good.

Good food, nice atmosphere.

We had a very good dinner here but did not necessarily like that our table directly faced the kitchen. Service was very good and enjoyed the wine.
