The baked items are good and reasonably priced. However, I encountered another patron that verbally harassed me (called me slurs) and swung at me because he “wasn’t happy how fast the line was moving and insisted everyone crams inside the bakery.” I told the staff what he was doing (they could also hear him tell me to “take this outside and he’ll teach me” and cuss at me), however, the staff did nothing and said there’s nothing they can do. We like it here, but there are plenty of other places nearby that will intervene in a matter like this.
Hidden gem/hideaway in Buffalo for a solid breakfast/brunch with fresh baked goods. Love the outdoor seating area in the Summer. Feels like you have been teleported to another city/town. Slightly overpriced, but worth it.
The only thing more loveable than the employees at five points, is the 5 points fresh tuna sandwich on homemade crusty, crunchy bread. Sundried tomatoes they use are outrageous. It's perfection. 5 stars no question
So good! I loved... The chocolate chip cookie (probably the best I ever have had). The flowerless chocolate cake... just heated it up on my dashboard (in the bag of course) on my drive back to NYC!!!! Perfect! So good!!! The vegan granola... oh soooooo good! Perfect mixture of goodness!
The bread, the sweets, the sandwiches - it's all delicious and perfectly made. Staff is so lovely, and the Espresso a Mano drinks are the perfect ending! Love this place and will make the detour (because: bridge) to keep coming here.
Croissants, baguettes, danish, everything is authentic & awesome. Being from Northern NJ - I grew up with old world family bakeries with truly top tier breads and baked goods - five points tops those.
This place wins for artisanal bread. However this isn’t better than la Gourmadine. We usually get $15-20 worth of pastries cookies, quiche, mini pies. The attendant that looks like a man with glasses and short hair is rather uptight and angry every time we order. He seems bothered and upset we walked into the bakery to get pastries. Pictured here are the ham and cheese croissant, the mushroom onion quiche and apple pie. These all totaled $12.51
one of those rare places where everything us fantastic! the customer service is amazing and always friendly, the food is delicious and the smiles are free!
I live around the corner from this place and never went for 3 years. Big mistake! Probably the best tuna sandwich I've ever purchased. I stopped during the week right before noon and the bakery was stocked with selection. I've seen lines outside of this place so I'm sure on the weekends it's nuts and the selection gets picked over. If you have a chance, stop by on a weekday! Staff was very friendly and were even helpful at recommending appropriate products. Their Chai is really creamy, but I prefer it that way and not too strong. Croissants were excellent and so was their apple pie! If they have their Finnish Rye, buy it 100%.
The best bakery in Pittsburgh. Hard to find a better sourdough than here. Same with their croissants. Definitely stop in on the weekdays to get a loaf of their sourdough rye. Also get there early-there might be a line!
