I went in on a Wednesday morning there were only a few patrons there. I sat at a table when after waiting a few moments the server comes over asks what I wanted to drink I said I will start with water. After looking at menu for several minutes and watching the server sit at another table talking for awhile with guests I sat and waited over 10 mins while not only did she not bring my water, ask for my order she continued to talk to the others while they were eating and just ignored me. I seen another lady behind the counter looking at me.She never once stepped in to take my order or to get the girl who was supposed to be waiting on me to help. So after sitting a total of 17 minutes with no service and a waste of my time I left and went elsewhere which was very accommodating.

I was in here for a trip with my friends to go see the immersive art exhibit right down the road. After ordering, we waited a solid half an hour before we got any food. Even then, a group was served about 15 minutes in and finished before we even got any food. However, I can look past that with there being knly one physical server there to attend to maybe 20 people. My one friend ordered a plain cheeseburger and there was pieces of plastic on the cheese left over from the cheese’s wrapper. I personally asked for no cheese, but ended up with 4 slices of yellow american cheese on my sandwich. Was not pleased. I didn’t even eat the bread. Only a few slices of the greasy meat in the center. Not only that, one of the (I’m assuming) managers came over to the one waitress and corrected her, loudly, in front of the entire restaurant. She obviously was embarrassed enough already. The floor was also very sticky, but that comes with a lot of places.

Man I had really great breakfast with friends at Fathers Diner. Hard to imagine this place not being a staple of Pittsburgh for decades, if not months, into the future. Enjoy this review while the link is still active. We waited over an hour and a half for our food, which is always fun when you’re starving. Then again, we were told it would be 45 minutes, so fair play! Approximately 50 minutes into our wait, we got our grilled cheese meal. We could tell it was hand made, cheese had been manually curdled from milk, cow was potentially diseased. Waitress knows how to call you by your clothing brand! Cook takes his time, and has yet to learn how to make multiple items at once. Cook’s grandson is learning, carefully, patiently, studiously. Waitress spills chocolate milk on Mark’s pants and sweatshirt, what a surprise! I’m actually still waiting for a bacon egg and cheese bagel, it has been 75 minutes, but you can’t rush perfection. As long as you define perfection really loosely. I think Randy in the green shirt had to go to store to buy more bagels. Really nice Easter decor in this establishment, and wreaths are for sale! We are still wondering why there are so many tables in this restaurant. If you say no mushrooms you will still get mushrooms, the cook knows best!! Thems are good for yinz! And after you fish through the breakfast wrap with your bare hands to find out you have mushrooms and send it back, don’t worry, they’ll serve it to another unsuspecting customer for half price. Don’t worry, Colin’s hands are clean! Sustainability in 2022 is a big initiative at Father’s Diner! And don’t worry, even if you have to wait two hours to eat, the cook will appreciate your patience, which is ironic, as you’ll appreciate absolutely nothing.

Just a hop off the highway, down the street from the 16th street Bridge lie the BIGGEST pancakes I've ever seen. This little diner has HUGE portions and every bite was a treat. They made the crispiest hashbrowns in town and have locally sourced bread and meats. The omelet was stuffed to the brim and the sausages couldn't have been more delicious. I highly recommend to anyone passing by. Thank you to our awesome waitress, she made some travel weary people ready to roll on with her top notch service and hot coffee.

This place got off to a slow start when it opened about a year ago under new management. It has definitely figured things are and serves great breakfasts and lunches. Hard to find, but if you come once, you'll come again.

The biggest pancakes you'll ever find! We had an amazing omlete. And the extra crispy hashbrowns were perfect!

Cleanliness, customer service, and quality food. What more can you ask for in a restaurant? This local diner has it's own style. They simply want to make their customers happy and enjoy their days at work. We all know how I hate FAKE people and FAKE sincerity. This place possesses everything you can imagine when it comes to local, realistic, humble, Puxburgh fashion. They even have Turners products. I'm not sure if their water is from the Monongahela or the Allegheny River, but it tasted filtered non the less. The servers all have 1 screw loose and I think that's why the place is more like a show at the Improv than a show at the Benedum. The food looks and taste like home cooking and they will cook it to your requests (just ask).

Absolutely delicious breakfast of hotcakes, sausage, bacon, hash browns, and coffee! Super friendly service too! This place is great!

Pros: friendly staff, good grub, nice atmosphereCons: glacial wait time, kitchen cooking surface is too small for weekend rushNet: can't justify the time required to eat

Breakfast is legit. Old school diner with super friendly staff.
