Echt coffeehouse has got to be my favorite spot in pittsburgh! the drinks, the food, the staff, the interior design are all so lovely! it is the spot i recommend when someone asks to meet for a coffee!i recommend trying it all
ECHT is really a coffee bar and restaurant that exceeds expectations beyond your standard fare. The coffee made here is expertly crafted and made with incredible detail. The chef at this establishment is bar none one of the kindest and most considerate I've had the pleasure of meeting.From handcrafted and owner forged metalwork, to comfortable, yet elegant seating, the ambiance, color, and decor are unmatched.My family cannot wait to make this establishment our new respite from the daily grind and cumbersome rat race called life.The accompanying photo should tell you how DELICIOUS the food is here. We ate and left zero crumbs!!!!
This place stands for quality. I had the most smooth and tasty cappuccino I’ve ever had while reading their menu/manual on roasting types. Expect many details like this when you visit. The design, the food, the experience.Their menu selection is just so eclectic, unique and amazing. One of the owners walked us through the menu items with such an authentic (echt) enthusiasm and it was a pleasure to spend some quality time there.It really has a Pittsburgh feel to it…amazing in-House metalwork and when you go to the restrooms, you witness all of the metalworking and design they do walking through the shop.Both owners are also very friendly and seem to be invested in this project. All the best wishes to ECHT! It was a pleasure to stop by while I visiting my hometown.Looking forward to returning someday for the distillery!
Really a beautiful space! So many beautiful metal work pieces to admire. Turkish coffee was delicious and fun. Toad in a Hole was awesome, as well as the savory Crinkle. Can't wait to go back and try more from their European style menu. Check out the metal smithing studio next door! The bathrooms are so cool too! We liked out experience here on Mother's Day.
The interior of this place was unique in a stunning way. It was fairly quiet (not surprising on a Monday), which would have been a great work environment, except they do not have wifi. The staff is attentive and helpful, sometimes almost a bit too much. The coffee and pastries are exquisite.
Visually stunning, the coffee is top notch, and the food is amazing! The owner is delightful, and the staff is so kind & friendly. I tried the toad in the hole, and the carrot soup (both are phenomenal)! Can’t wait to come back, and try the other dishes. I am so excited to have such a unique, and welcoming space in the area.
Absolutely fabulous coffee! The atmosphere is electric, clean and modern. The food out of this world.. potentially the very best breakfast ever. satisfying yet light and fresh. Knowledgable staff friendly and helpful. Highly recommend and can’t wait to come back and see this place continue to expand its menu and offerings. Such a great vibe!
I cannot say enough good things about this place. Not just a coffee house, but a full experience. Breakfast and lunch items are out of this world. Thoughtful recipes. Single sourced coffee. Extensive variety. And our host, the owner James, was a delight.All set in the most well thought out modern industrial setting, designed by James' husband Yorg who runs the design studio next door, which you can tour.The amount of care and love on display here is inspiring.10 out of 10. Would recommend.

ECHT has the best coffee lounge I’ve experienced in Pittsburgh, hands down. James prepared an outstanding iced mocha latte & the grilled egg+cheese sandwich was amazing. Aside from excellent drinks & food, they did an incredible job designing it from the gorgeous stained glass windows, spiral staircase, lighting & more. Truly a gorgeous spot. Looking forward to coming back many many times in the future!
