Based the atmosphere inside and out, I wouldn't have expected the food to be as great as it was. I really thought from the look of the place that I'd be disappointed, but I am very much the opposite. The Thai iced coffee was so good, I want it everyday. I don't care if I get diabetes. The red curry noodle soup I had was all around solid and had great flavor. It's a large portion which is always a plus. I got it with squid which was much more chewy than expected, but was fine.I got a level 7 or 8 for the spice level. I'm glad my pride didn't make me get a 10, I would have struggled. If you like spice, start with a 7, you can add more chili later. The heat is real, y'all.I would have given 5 stars if the place had a solid face-lift.
Right away we were glad we stopped to eat here. Paula was amazing! She suggested our meals and we loved it! Plating was beautiful and everything was delicious.
Fresh spring rolls vegetable pad Thai and Bo La Lot. Never saw no la lot before but it’s delicious well cooked meat with herbs and some light rice noodles. The portion on the pad Thai is incredible too probably could be 3 meals. 5/5
The food was phenomenal. Everything was perfect and tasted amazing. Our waiter was friendly and the food arrived quickly. I highly recommend the pineapple curry and the drunken noodles. My daughter ate her entire dancing chicken appetizer. My only complaint is that we don't live next door :)
So depending on how the chef feels, that will impact heavy handed ness (or not) with the spice level. Last night the spice was heavier than expected. That said the food was delicious. Pro Tips: You can and should call for a reservation, old fashioned way on the telephone. If you plan in advance they will handle a larger group. Pro Tip: Try the yellow curry. Our server said it was their best dish, and it was amazing. Never would have been my go to choice. Pro Tip: As noted above, ask how the chef is feeling and if he’s in bit more of a heavy handed mood, adjust your spice level accordingly. We asked for some things at level 2 and 3, and they were too spicy for us. Our amazing server bought us some Thai Tea (gratis) to help cut the spice.
Every meal I've had here has been excellent. They aren't messing around with the ratings on the spicy food, either. Drunken noodles with Tofu is my go-to, but the house specialty crab fried rice is delicious and quite a hefty portion.
Best Thai food in Pittsburgh! They roast their own DUCK!! And it’s excellent crispy. We were there Tuesday for lunch and were almost alone if you are concerned about crowds and social distancing. Obviously we want them to prosper. So make it your go-to Thai.
I've been to almost all the Thai spots in the burgh and it's this one I keep coming back too. The pad Thai is amazing. I got it (pad Thai)with the crispy roast duck this time and it was phenomenal. A++++++
I had a wonderful experience here. The food was delicious, the drinks are made perfect, and the staff was very friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend this restaurant.
Friendly staff and excellent thai food. This place is remarkable!
