Four stars for food alone. So, the food is pretty tasty. There are a lot of unusual Items on the authentic Chinese menu like frog and “odd tasting jelly” and pork intestines that most Americans probably wouldn’t order. Also a lot of the items on this menu that are something that would appeal to American tastes are things that are not normally on your run-of-the-mill Chinese restaurant. Cumin lamb, chicken Chonquing style- delicious. They are very heavy on the oil in the meat dishes.Service is sub-par and not super friendly. Bathroom is the dirtiest bathroom I’ve ever been in.
Everything was very bland. The ribs tasted as if they had been reheated and not fresh. Soup was tasteless, and the ho fun wasnt any better. Maybe ill try dishes from the authentic menu. Amazing chicken was far from amazing, driest chicken i had. They have a location coming to to north hills.
Possibly the worst service ever had at a restaurant. All of the hype of good authentic Chinese food is a myth and was lost by me. The food was average to below average and service was atrocious.
I've never had such a bad experience ordering food in my life. My order was cold and incomplete. I understand these things happen when I called to ask for the rest of my order. the woman is very rude and refused to fill it. she would not put a manager on the phone, hung up on me twice and eventually took the phone off the hook. avoid at all costs
Schezuan food is so amazing. Make sure you get the authentic menu because they also have an American one. Mapo tofu, spicy fish and and spicy chongquing chicken. We also ordered coconut bubble tea. Everything here is amazing.
Ordered scallian pancakes, dandan noodle, & dumplings in chili oil, they were all fantastic! Also ordered chengdu beef, which was delicious as well. Spicy dishes here are just that - 5 alarm hot! We also ordered the Chongqing chicken and spicy beef homestyle soup - they were both WAY spicy hot. The chciken dish had more dried pepper that chciken!
Pepper steak and peppers were coated in black pepper and it ruined the whole dish. I’ve never had pepper steak wirh this much pepper before. Bell peppers, yes but not tablespoons of black pepper.
Came here for Chinese New Year, super friendly staff and lots to chose from on the menu. Seafood dish was really tasty so was the sirloin dish. Glass noodle dish with minced pork was surprisingly spicy but worth the tears. Veggies were a bit too salty, but still good. Overall good experience.
Good food with fast takeout service. I got the General Tso's with the crispy pickled cucumber appetizer while my dining partner got the House Tofu dish. The General Tso's was tasty and a good portion. However, the chicken texture is like chicken nuggets, that mashed up chicken texture with no discernable chicken fibers. However, I believe there is an option for General Tso's (white meat) that might be better in the chicken texture. The sauce had a good taste and, as always, was good with rice and broccoli. The crispy pickled cucumber appetizer was alright. It had a paste or sauce on it that imparted an odd, salty taste to the cucumbers which I personally did not care much for.The takeout stopped was fast! I had just ended a workout at the JCC (next to Rite Aide on Forbes) and placed my order as I was leaving the building. By the time I walked down Murray (15 min walk), the food was ready for my pickup. The food was very hot too, perfect temperature by the time I got home.Definitely recommended!
The mapo tofu here is delicious! I recommend if your in the area!
