This place is a gem! Try the glazed salmon on Fridays - it's amazing. The chicken & dumplings soup and shrimp & grits are scrumptious. When people are passionate about what they do and have the experience to back it up, great things (and food) happen. Great staff. Wonderful people. Family-owned and operated. Can't wait to come back for more.

I have had this place a few times and it was good but this time, my chicken had a weird dryness to it. I've been sick in my bathroom since last night with terrible stomach cramps.
2 stars because the food isn’t terrible. BUT, there must be different cooks at this location not trained the same way as the others at the main location on Carson street. The Mac n cheese here is very inconsistent. If time only allows you to stop at the express location then go for it. I definitely wouldn’t recommend it. Also, apparently this location needs to use smaller containers for the sides….(photo attached)

So I placed a order for chicken. Breast meal I got chicken tenders instead and then To add insult to injury I got sick with food poison been n my bathroom in pain all night ..
First time trying the menu selection today..I ordered the 3 jumbo smoked chicken wing combo..Let's just say the wings were not big at all..The cashier put 6 tiny over-cooked wings in my box& she forgot to put my cranberry juice in my bag..Can you say bad experience for a business..Although the cabbage&mashed potatoes were on point..I called them immediately which I didn't get an answer..Guess I'm out of my cranberry juice..And. No I will not be going back...The cashier needs more training or pay more attention to customers orders.Unfortunately I was not pleased
Their food is sooooooooi amazing best soul food in Pittsburgh hands down never had a problem customer service is excellent and food always on point 10/10 !
Love the breakfast and brunch menu!! Especially the shrimp and grits!
