My Wife & I visited the "CALIFORNIA TACO SHOP" for the 1st time last Friday night & We were impressed w/ Our order & the service. We ordered beef tacos & they were delicious. They were really busy, but They got the orders out in a timely manner. I put them several steps ahead of the local "TACO BELL". "CTS" is Our new taco stop.?

Yes! Actual California Burritos! Amazing quality. So nice to find a place with authentic Cal-Mex food. Wish more places had this style of Mexican food in the city. So many places think you need to smother burritos in Nacho Cheese. Will come again.

Their chorizo is some of the best around. They make red and green homemade salsa. Both are delicious and you can tell it's fresh because the spiciness varies with the batch of peppers they use. The guacamole does not have cheese and does have tomatoes. The chips are separate and they are always freshly made.

Hands down the best California Mexican food in the area. If you know the difference, you'll taste it here.

Great burrito but the queso was bad. There's only 4 tables inside so expect takeout. I would definitely go back again.

The food was absolutely delicious, reasonably priced, and quickly made! I had the chicken burrito and churros. Before ordering online, I'd recommend calling them since they were out of tres leches but it was still listed on their website. The grilled chicken burrito was quite large. I customized it without onions and they were ensured there were no onions. The sauce in the burrito is excellent. A bit creamy, flavorful, and plentiful. The chicken is tender and there is quite a lot of chicken! The outer shell is soft and when I picked it up, it was still warm. Took only 10 minutes to make. The burrito comes with two sauces for free (red and green). Both are somewhat acidic and quite spicy. You'll love them if you are a fan of real spice. The churros were the best I have ever had. You can add caramel to them as well, probably for a small upcharge. The plain version was still amazing. Crispy on the outside, and fluffy in the inside. It was not overly hard. There is some sort of sweet cream/stuffing on the inside which was also quite unique. I believe you get 6 with each order.Overall, I highly recommend the California Taco Shop. It is a great bang for your buck, has authentic flavors, and lots of variety. Plus, they make your food very quickly. Delicioso!

Happy we finally explored the menu got tacos OMG Deeeelicious!!! Upset with myself didn't notice + stop sooner will be back + often !!

Can be expensive even if only ordering for 1 person but I always enjoy everything that I order from there. Wait times are never long and always consistent. Occasionally they may make a mistake with my order but usually it's something like a topping missing from my burrito - nothing worth fussing over. Online ordering system was a bit confusing at first but is pretty straightforward once you use it a few times. Definitely one of my favorite places to get Mexican takeout.

I tell you what this place was fantastic, I come in not really knowing what to expect because it's in sort of tiny strip mall and there isn't a lot of signage letting you know it's there visible from rt.8 and I never would have noticed it had it not been for google maps recommending it to me because usually you are driving as fast as possible to beat that light by the gas station.Anyway the food was amazing and we ordered nearly everything from the menu, we are taking about $150+ for two people (we had loads of left overs of course)Everything was got was great tasting and exceeding what I had expected. The taste was authentic and the service was great as well. They do have a small seating area which was empty when we got there and nobody ever sat down except for my wife and I. This seems mainly as a carry out joint and there were plenty of people coming in to pick up orders.Cost wise they are in the middle and had a recent price hike due, what I suspect, is inflation and the cost of food going up but it was still a good value for what you got. This is an easy repeat for me as it's on the way to my parents so I will be back for sure.

We ordered a rice, bean & cheese burrito (cheese is orange, not white), chorizo taco in soft shell (you get 2 shells when you order soft), ground beef taco in a light and crunchy hard shell. All super good, reasonably priced, and served in 5 minutes. We also got a horchata (rice, milk, cinnamon) beverage - major thumbs up on that too. We're saving a little to put in our coffee later!
