We had spent the night at a Pittsburgh hotel after the July 4 celebrations in Point State Park. On our way out of town, we decided to see what the Strip District had in the way of places to have breakfast. Initially, we thought we would go to a popular restaurant just around the corner from Caffe Mona, or the biscotti shop across the street. But as we passed Caffe Mona and looked at the menu, we decided to eat here. We are glad we did. The breakfast/brunch menu has a nice selection of omelettes and crepes (sweet and savory). I decided to have a chevre omelette, which is sun-dried tomatoes, baby spinach, and goat cheese. My wife had the chevre crepe, which was just like the omelette except with a crepe wrap instead of egg. They were both fantastic! If the weather had been nicer (it was raining), we probably would have taken a table on the sidewalk and lingered to enjoy our breakfast and do some people watching. But even with the rain, it was OK to savor our chevre dishes slowly and sip the excellent coffee. I don't think you can go wrong with this place. We are already talking about making a special trip back to the Strip District early on a Saturday morning to visit again.

Stopped for breakfast on a Saturday morning . Have tried just about every available breakfast on Strip. Very pleased with Caffe Mona. Friendly polite and accommodating staff. Chilled bottle of water brought promptly to table upon being seated. My husband had the Monte Cristo french toast, which he thoroughly enjoyed. I had the Oreo crepes. Delish. Everything tasted fresh. No more pricey than any spot in this day and age. Outdoor seating, nice decor, nice music playing. We will be back. Located right next to DeLucas.

Crepes and Pancakes were delicious.

The people who waited on us here made us feel very welcome. Im suspecting the two gentlemen own this lovely food location. The avocado toast came with a side of salad and the meal was pleasantly delicious. Please come support this charming spot.

New family tradition. Best breakfast ever. Family members took us. It was fabulous, the food, the decorations, the sound track. Caffe Mona is now our must go place for breakfast when we visit Pittsburgh.

Service and atmosphere were fine. We went earlyish on a weekend morning and had no difficulty getting a table for 4. My food was okay- nice pancakes but nothing special for the price tag. (I realize inflation is up, labor and supplies are in high demand, but $12 for four smallish-medium pancakes with no sides and just syrup?) When we asked for water we weren't given an option and were presented with bottled. And yes, we were charged for those, too. Bottled water is a waste of resources. Bottom line: IMO, not worth the money.

Lovely atmosphere, friendly staff, INCREDIBLE food in preparation, quality, and displayI'll be going back

Best outdoor dining ever go caffe Mona!!!
