Cute small French breakfast place with awesome coffee (their mochas blow away Starbucks), crepes, and egg dishes. Waitresses v friendly and professional. Place was so good I went on 2 consecutive days when visiting Pitt. Top notch.
We had some nice and healthy food. The portions are unexpected large, the coffee is great. The freshly squeezed orange juice is also very good and the home made lemonade aswell. I would prefer more sugarfree options (yoghurt, lemonade, ice tee) but I am afraid, this is not really in demand here...
Cafe Moulin is a great breakfast/ brunch location. Their menu is full of tasty sweet and savory foods, but my go to is typically their crepes. We love the Alaskan, or their veggie crepes. Their Walmut Street French toast is also so good. Their coffee drinks are great too. Friendly and attentive staff, typically quick service (but it can get busy!), great location, and nice restaurant. Highly recommend!
Was told 15 minutes to wait, and ended up standing at the freezing cold door (which doesn't properly shut) for an hour and ten minutes. The smell from the pizza place across the street was one of the worst smells I've ever had the displeasure to smell. They must have been cleaning their ovens or something but there was smoke pouring out of their vents and the entire block smelled like an electrical fire. Horrible. Tons of other people had been told about the "15 minute wait" and were also very frustrated by the much longer wait. Once we sat down, it took easily another hour and fifteen to get our food. Perhaps they are short staffed? When the food arrived, my meal was fine but my husband's omelette was inedible. The ingredients used were cheap and tasted terrible. I mentioned it to the waitress and she completely dismissed my concerns and did nothing to make it right Never again. There are too many awesome places to eat in Pittsburgh to eat at this poorly run, cheaply supplied, overpriced crepe restaurant. Don't do it.
Super cool place to chill and eat crepes in the morning. The crepes are fantastic and pretty reasonably priced. The service is super fast and friendly. Overall awesome experience. One of my favorite places in the Shadyside area.
I have eaten here many times. The crepes are top notch. They also have fresh juices and freshly brewed teas as well. I love the atmosphere which attracts students, families, retirees and such.
I use to work for Cafe few years ago for just a very brief time but the food was always great! Always fresh ingredients and delicious recipes. The owners are very nice, sweet hearted and great people to be around. The staff was wonderful. And most of all I love the food!!!
What a fantastic place for breakfast! The incredibly friendly staff serve amazing food! I’m not really a crepe fan for breakfast but the Sofia Crepe I had was delicious and filling! I’d like to try their dessert crepes!
Shaksouka was tasty and savory, had to wait for a freed table briefly but served promptly thereafter.
Love the vibe and atmosphere.Food is really yummy and well made.Definitely during the weekend you have to wait for a long time for sitting and food prep. But overall nice place to have a brunch with family and friends.
