Attended a bridal shower here. The atmosphere was intimate and tranquil. The food and service were beyond expectations. My company and I shared our favorite dishes at the end. Everyone could not mention only one. We all agreed everything was superb.
Excellent food, eat outside next to the pond with turtles and fish. BYOB eat and relax. Only problem is they are not open for lunch and only open a limited number of nights for dinner.
Had the chicken thigh confit as takeout (hint: make a takeout reservation) and it was incredible. This is before and after. Couldn’t let anything go uneaten. It would have been disrespectful.
Had car problems and waiting for tow truck. Walked up the street and found this Gem! Got take out so could go and wait for tow truck. Got a coffee, soup of the day and the bacon wrapped dates. OMG! Burst of flavors was amazing. The bacon was toasty not limp and the chorizo inside the date was spicy but not hot. All in a wonderful tomato based sauce with incredible flavor. The Mexican chili soup was out of this world. I will go back when weather is good and enjoy the beautiful patio I got to peek at.
Doing a Pittsburgh tour as an honorary Savage for the weekend. Had an amazing meal with great service and hospitality. A true gem and a must try if you are ever in Southside…
We decided to order take-out from here on NYE for the first time because we heard great things, wow was this a treat! We went with all appetizers so we could try a bunch of different things, we got the mushroom soup, chorizo wrapped in dates with bacon, spinach dip, mushroom arugula tomato appetizer, and the meatballs. Seriously the meatballs were the best I've ever had and my husband loved the chorizo appetizer. We can't wait to dine in and order dinner! No pics because we just had to dig in ?
This place is the best food hands down in Pittsburgh. We usually end up here for our anniversary on Valentine's day. The chef/server are probably the owner duo and they take care of everything. The salmon is so tasty it just melts in your mouth in a burst of flavor. Writing this review, I want to go there again.
We just had incredible takeout from here. Look at the pictures! These were our actual pork and eggplant meals out of the packaging. The food was fresh and filled with flavor. The staff were super friendly. Will definitely be eating from here again. Wow!
The team is sweet and always so generous! I mentioned I wasn't feeling well and they packed me some of my fav soup (wild mushroom consomme) with my takeout order :')Above that, the food is insanely delicious; I can't fathom living without Cafe Du Jour. It's a serious problem that I think about often.
Diamond in the rough. Very affordable. Lovely, peaceful courtyard for outdoor dining out back. Live classical guitar while we were there. When guitarist wasn’t playing, exquisite soundtrack of 90s indie rock. Excellent food. Had Moroccan lamb special. Five stars. Had two bowls of mushroom soup. Ten stars.
