As a conscientious consumer/Google reviewer, I am ashamed at myself for not having read through the reviews before making a purchase. Though, admittedly, my issues were not as significant as some I've seen, nor did I have previous experience with the franchise with which to compare to. First time customer, in town for a wedding and trying to keep things as brisk and effective as possible. Very simple order- two bagels, one with cream cheese, one with butter. I was pleased to find our order was ready by our time of arrival, and grabbed the bag and began our journey back to the getting ready. Butter on both bagels, no cream cheese. I recognize it isn't the end of the world, but with all due respect this was a fairly straightforward transaction and the bagels quite frankly are not of a caliber that they can stand on their own sans cream cheese (otherwise I would concede to this omission and just appreciate the bagel).Pros: User-friendly mobile appQuick turnaround time at peak business hourCons: Errors at even the most-basic of orderparametersMediocre bagels
HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. Will never give my service to a Bruegger’s bagels again after visiting this location and you shouldn’t either. It’s a shame because I was a loyal customer for years living in Connecticut. See below for my experience in an email I had to write to customer service to get my money back (which took over a week and still ended up with me losing $20 and an hour and a half of my time).“I am extremely upset after an experience at this location today. We put in an order ahead order which the app said would be ready in 20 minutes. Arrived 25 minutes later to find our order hadn’t even been started. Stated we would wait for them to make our order and, 10 minutes later, the staff member came over and said they cancelled our order because “we needed to call ahead for an order this big”. We ordered 6 sandwiches. No one reached out to tell us this. Instead, we drove 20 minutes, paid for parking, and waited an additional 15 minutes in the store for our order to find out the woman decided to cancel it without talking to us about it. I asked for a refund and she told me she couldn’t refund me. What kind of customer service is this? I am out 45 minutes of my day, $47 for an order I did not receive, and paying for parking to wait for an order that should have been ready when I got there.I would like to request a refund from my order and that this location be looked into as it’s frankly very upsetting the lack of customer service I was met with today. Thank you.”The response I received (again, after over a week) was comical.“ Hi nicole , This has been refunded, please allow 7-10 days for this to reflect on your account.”To which I replied “ Here are photos for reference of the app confirming my order that was not made and cancelled by the store worker after we waited over an hour for the order and paid $15 to sit in a parking garage waiting for it. This is something that should be addressed by your company with more than a mere refund a week later. I would hope this would be looked into a bit more at this specific location. The google reviews are atrocious I’ve read following this incident and it’s giving Bruegger’s a bad name in Pittsburgh. We used to visit your Connecticut locations often when we lived there but no longer are supportive of the grant street location in Pittsburgh.”And never received a response from Bruegger’s customer service rep Hope Sanchez.Absolutely horrific customer service both from their grant street location but also from their customer service representatives. Truly embarrassed. Also, when they comment on here to contact customer service, good luck. I tried that and you can see the above “customer service” response.

After waiting in line for around 20 minutes, I was eager to go to this popular spot for a Sunday morning. What I found for a “sandwich” was a single slice of turkey, slice of Swiss, on an un toasted bagel. How could this be priced at $10?I should have listened to other 1 star reviews.
This place is so rude it's almost comical. It was snowing out yesterday and after I got my bagel I then noticed that you couldn't eat inside. I opened my bagel and took a bite while waiting to see if snow would calm. Two employees accosted me and openly hostile told me it's illegal to eat inside and they were calling the police? I was in shock and left immediately. As I was leaving the female cashier screamed at me that I left my trash. First of all there was trash on the floor and on the counters when I got there. And secondly I ran out of there when I was threatened not stopping to grab my wrapper ??
It was crowdy, so I can understand why servers have to shout. However if you do so, put a mask on properly. The man who makes sandwiches had a mask on his chin and was talking while making my sandwich. What is the point of wearing a mask? The employees at Subway wore a mask and vinyl globes, and no one was shouting.
When we go to Pittsburgh we always stay at the William Penn and go to Bruegger’s for breakfast. After going Sunday morning 2/27, we’ll NEVER GO AGAIN. There’s plenty of other options. The line was long and moving very slow. Typically that wouldn’t bother us because we realize the shortage of employees. However, the majority of employees working were rude, yelled at customers, & were disrespectful. No one should ever be yelled at when they order something that’s ON THE MENU, but the items aren’t in stock. That’s not the customer’s fault! Honestly the one employee should lose her job for how terrible she was treating PAYING customers.
Went for a few breakfast sandwiches, Jamba Juice was closed, we waited in the long line and when we finally ordered they botched the order, made a sandwich wrong ( asked for veggies cream cheese, they put tomato red onion and green bell pepper and some type of marinara sauce) forgot a sandwich and then wanted us to go wait in the huge line again because they messed up the order, food was decent but customer service is definitely lacking. coffee was really good
It’s bad y’all, listen to the reviews!! Got a large soy milk latte (it’s the only non dairy alternative - no almond oat etc) and it was so sweet and kinda tart? So i asked why when i didn’t add any sweetener and she didn’t know but I’m pretty sure that soy milk was expired. So i exchanged for regular coffee which was also bad. Just don’t go here…waste of money!
It’s truly upsetting. I order the same thing everyday and never get the same thing. I order a bagel with cream cheese and jelly on the side. And hazel nut coffee. Something so simple… They simply can’t get it right. They lost a customer today. They gave me strawberry cream cheese with an onion bagel .. I wanna cry.
