Staff seems really hit or miss, some are really friendly, some not paying attention or not at the counter. When I went in today nothing but their specialty drinks had prices, which is really inconvenient. Iced latte that I got was ok but not one I'd specifically go back for.
This is one of my favorite coffee shops in Pittsburgh. It has a heavy metal music themed atmosphere, and themed drinks to match. My favorite drink is the Ritual Rites, which is espresso, toasted marshmallow, dark chocolate, cinnamon, and cream over ice for $6.66. Parking is conveniently less than a block away in one of the city lots or on-street across from the police station.
Really cool little coffee shop. Their specialty drinks are tasty and conveniently priced at $6.66.We purchased the Dragonaut and the Thunderhorse. Both were excellent without being too overly sweetened. Kinda funny that a metal themed shop would have signature items that include 'tiramisu, white chocolate, toasted marshmallow' but... they go really well with the coffee. Also bonus points that while we were there, they played the entirety of Iron Maiden's "Powerslave". My wife patiently waited until the end, because I wasn't going to leave without listening to "Rhime of the Ancient Mariner".Only downside is, tricky to find parking but... will definitely go again.
Cool minimalist coffee House with art shows and a stage. Just had a snack there. too late for coffee for me! The art was really good! The music was metal and dark. It was Easter so it really wasn't very crowded. I think it could be pretty fun on a busier day!
I visited Black Forge after living in the area for a year and it's really cool! I only stopped by to stock up on some coffee beans and what I grabbed was really delicious. The vibe is really fun, as a guy who's into metal, but I could certainly see how it might be off-putting to some of that isn't your scene. The decor was fantastic and their merch seems high quality. I'm definitely grabbing a Tshirt next time I stop by. Parking is a little difficult, but if you go slightly further up Arlington, there's usually open space.
Coffee was good. Workers were efficient but disinterested at best. Parking is a serious issue. Location, location, location. Score would be higher if parking was available. Going to try the other location soon.
Best coffee ive ever had. My wife and i love coffee and we made a special trip to this shop which she found on Instagram and i can say it was worth going out of the way for.
Such a cool place to get offer! I got the Krampus drink, and it was delicious! The workers were really nice too.
I’ve been wanting to try this place for years. Did not disappoint! I love the atmosphere and the coffee is delicious. Heads up, parking is a nightmare and that’s the only complaint I have!
So much better than any dunkin or Starbucks. Unique recipes, delicious coffee
