Very large menu. All the food we ordered was very good. I would say this is probably a good place to take children as there is also a decent kids menu. Large selection of drinks and beer available. Typically not a wait to get in. Mondays have live music in the courtyard out front. Would definitely recommend, and we will be going back.
We were at the restaurant today, June 19th. The food was great, as always. Our service however was not. Our waitress was Vanessa S. she was not very nice. When asked a simple question about the Father's Day glass and how the 20% off worked, she responded to the question very rude and with an attitude. Which continued for most of the interactions with her. When asked about something on the menu, she responded "I'm not sure what that is, no one has ever asked me that before" she did not offer to go ask someone who might know what it is. She was not accommodating and continued to have an attitude, to the point where I was going to ask for another waitress. We will return to BJ's because we love the food. However, we will remember Vanessa and, if we ever get her again, we will ask for someone else. Also, I called the restaurant about 20 minutes away to ask if there was a wait. I was informed on the telephone the wait was 1 hour. When we arrived we were seated right away. The information provided on the telephone could have turned someone else away.
The ambience is great and there is a wide variety of items available to eat and drink
Fresh ? strawberry margarita.Sounds great. Strawberry mint mojito. Tasted great. But very short lived...it's all ice I Was there twice... It's all ice The drink cost over $11.00 dollars. I'm not going back!Sad but true:(
We went to the March beer dinner and it was fantastic! The evening ran so smoothly and the food was delicious. All of the staff were super friendly, especially Kim, and made the night fun. We’ve gone to a couple of the beer dinners at the South Hills location, but definitely prefer the McCandless one. Their timing of serving food and beer was much better and the environment was great. We’ll definitely be making our next beer dinner reservations for this location!
We had a wonderful visit! As avid foodies we rarely find a place to satisfy, with quality, flavor and service. Our server, Jamie, was superb. She treated us with high end service, and upbeat pleasant demeanor which left us in a good mood well after we dined. The food was hot and tasty with a unique flair. Refreshing change from the same ol typical offerings. The atmosphere was just right. Considering that all tables were full, the staff didn't seem harried. We were comfortable and quite content on all levels. Can't wait to return!!
It wasn't too crowded. Our writer was a little slow on the job, but we were lucky that snother sever helped out and brought our food. Our server didn't even notice until he came by our tablecabd we had our food! Another person brought us someone else's pizookie. We told her that it wasn't ours and she removed it from our table and took it straight to another one! Rhe food was pretty good, though.
Overall rating:So-so. Super casual vibe that feels like a blend of a sports bar, cafeteria, and a garage (but a nice garage).Pros: super customer service and knowledgeable and polite staff. Very clean , plenty of food and beverage options for all sorts of appetites and they have more than just sports on their plethora of televisions. Family friendly seating with options to sit at the bar for an all adult group. Got us in very quickly. Prices are okay, not a deal if you are looking for one, and also not outrageously prices either. Separate entrance for pick up orders.Cons: I had the worst Pina Colada I have ever had. It was not blended at all, had big chunks of flavorless ice, and looked sloppy. They were out of Tuna, the only reason I wanted to go in the first place. Buns of the mini sliders had no flavor and were cold. Grilling the buns with some butter would have made a huge difference. The spicy brussel sprouts were burnt and too charred to enjoy and while I am not a sauce person, there was not enough sauce.Summary: Okay, nothing special, good for a casual lunch or dinner, if you don't mind eating in the open and without privacy.
BJ’s is a casual restaurant and brewhouse. The restaurant’s menu lists foods such as appetizers, pizzas, salads, burgers, soups, pastas, dozens of seafood and meat entrees, and some desserts. My husband greatly enjoyed his ahi poke tacos and his BBQ baby back ribs, because they were very fresh and tasty. I liked my chips and guacamole and my salmon entree, but they could have used a little more flavor. Our waitress provided friendly and prompt service. Prices were average. I will try this restaurant again in the future.
Food was meh and drinks weren't good but servers were great and very nice. Not worth waiting for a table though. We all left underwhelmed.
