Place is not clean. Also, when I called to place my order I was told the vegetarian platter is vegan which it is NOT. It is very dairy heavy, and I found that out when I got home with my takeout order. Moreover, the prices online were much cheaper than what I was charged at the restaurant. I ended up spending $12 more than what I expected from the online prices.Wasted my money. Very poor experience. Never going back.
IF YOURE A NEW CUSTOMER PLEASE READ LAST PARAGRAPH.Consider buying pizza elsewhere: Customer service issue.Called this afternoon hoping to buy a pizza. As any new customer would be, I was curious of what type of pizza they were making and kindly ask him three questions: What are your sizes and prices? Do you make margaritas?, (no), and May I add Basil as a topping with light cheese? The guy was rude, and unenthusiastically not helpful. Gave me nothing but attitude from the beginning of the call, up until I said to him, " sir, your attitude throughout this entire call is the reason why I am going elsewhere, goodbye".Consider purchasing Pizza from people who enjoy making it. Like:Spaks, Pramantis, Alta Via Pizzeria, Lorelei, I mean the List goes on of how many other places where I can purchase exceptional Pizza.
Place NEVER EVER HAVE TOILET TISSUE it’s been years now, as if he DO NOT CARE AT ALL, u have to grab paper towels JUST CAUSE U KNOW THERE IS NONE??♀️ Never any paper towels, lady bathroom door and toilet paper roll holders are allways on the floor. Barely any soap. And as for the MANAGER…very VERY RUDE, his workers very polite and will speak if spoken to.FOOD is good and cheap. And no I won’t be spending my money there again.
I've spent the week debating whether or not to write this but, since the experience has yet to leave my mind and has caused interruption to my sleep, I thought it necessary to share. Last Saturday, 4/2/22, at about 11:55am, I stopped here. Before I continue, I would just like to note that I moved into the Garfield community in May of 2020 and have ordered food from BFG a handful of times and never had an issue. I always thought the prices were reasonable for the quality of food and the staff was pleasant. However, after last Saturday, I will never again be a customer to this establishment. As someone who runs daily to train for races, it is common to stop in businesses to use the restroom. Some businesses have no problem, some say no but tell you where the closest one is, or some just politely decline. On Saturday 4/2, I was near BFG when I needed a restroom and since I had frequented the establishment before I didn't think it would be an issue. I felt it was a safe place as a woman running alone that day and opted to stop there. Again, I want to reiterate that I understand no private business has to let anyone use the restroom. When I arrived, it was a few minutes before they were opening and I saw there were workers inside - I thought that since I wasn't asking for food that it wouldn't be too big of a bother. So, I tried to ask through the glass door if I could use the bathroom. I heard a man shout "we're closed!" so I just said again through the door that I'd just like to use the bathroom. A man approaches the door and I assume he's opening it to let me use the restroom. Instead, this white man, who I am assuming is the owner, opened the door and began SCREAMING AT ME. I was in shock by his reaction and in my extremely vulnerable state, apologized, and tried to explain that this was the closest place to where I was. He just continued to scream at me (a Hispanic woman) in front of his entire kitchen staff, things such as: "THIS ISN'T A PUBLIC BATHROOM"; "WHY HERE??"; "WHO ARE YOU ASKING ME TO OPEN MY DOOR??"; "WHO ARE YOU??" etc., etc. This adult man yelled at me as if I was the absolute scum of the earth. He finally screamed to "GO AHEAD!!" so I went and used the restroom as quickly as possible and ran back out, still in a state of shock. At this point he was outside putting the menu out on the sidewalk and I proceeded to apologize again and thank him. He would not even look at me. He made a face as if I was the most disgusting, heinous person he has ever encountered and didn't say a word. I sprinted home and have been having nightmares ever since.I am inclined to wonder if a more demure woman, not in running clothes and perhaps not a more masc-presenting/queer woman and perhaps not also a Hispanic woman, would have received the same treatment? I am also inclined to wonder if this is how he treats the public, then how does he treat his largely Hispanic staff? Have others received this treatment? It is difficult to believe that this outburst was an isolated incident.Again, I am aware no private business has to allow anyone to use the restroom but, I have NEVER experienced a reaction so disproportionate to the request. It was truly disturbing and I sincerely hope no one else ever has to experience it.
Food is excellent and reasonably priced, couldn't ask for more especially while staying nearby
Excellent neighborhood place for pizza, gyros, meal-salads, etc.
Awesome food. Best gyro in Pittsburgh. Best cheesecake too. The owner is very passionate about what he serves.
Love this place! Not vegetarian myself, but their meatless moussaka makes this a Destination.
The food is good for the amount of food you get the price is really good
Everything I've had here is fresh and delicious.
