Jack is kind and involved in the community. The teas and drinks they serve here are delicious and affordable. Bantha is a wonderful place to work or read or meet with friends. I’ve enjoyed Bantha for years and am grateful it’s a part of our community
Great ambiance, excellent drinks at community centered prices, a wide range of ways to entertain yourself and your companions at the tea bar for an hour or two depending on your mood. Located near several other interesting stops in the area, and has a good amount of parking nearby. Will definitely return.
Atmosphere is cool at Bantha overall, and the sketchy little star-wars esque nook is a good place for a casual date or discrete encounter. The offerings are of high quality and locally sourced to boot, but presented in such a fashion that feels less than average. If as much thought and care went into the drinks as the sustainably minded design techniques, this joint could be much more Jedi. Han solo would feel at home though.Assortment of herbal teas is the strong point. Coffee was just ok, but I suppose that's what I get for ordering coffee at a tea bar, har... I liked that I got to drink the whole French press which amounted to about 2 full mugs, but it wasn't steeped well, maybe not finely ground enough or not long/hot enough, or both! I almost got my money's worth at 2 cups for $4-5 after tip, but I felt like I had to really work for gratification, and ultimately a good bean brewed into weak coffee..Overall, cool folks, mindful of some really good stuff, with room for improvement. It impresses me that they are one of the few places around specializing in tea with an unparalleled local selection, and should present themselves accordingly!

Cozy tea/coffee bar in Bloomfield/Garfield area. The tea house is on street level but once inside it feels like you are in your favorite cozy basement. Sunday was a perfect tea day. They have baked snacks, delicious beverages and nooks to hide in to read or reflect on any given day. Just peaceful, warm and welcoming. Cute quiet, stress free hangout.
This place was nice to study in! There's plenty of tables, lots of hot tea choices, and a nice atmosphere. The prices are also decent, especially for the variety

Great teas, great atmosphere, great people! I love the quality and variety of teas here, including some grown in house, and I've brought lots of different friends over the last few years. The employees are always friendly and helpful as well! Bantha was where my now-husband and I went on our first date, so we used one of their teas as wedding favors, and Jack at Bantha was so kind and helpful in putting together a large order for us and even packaging it into our own containers. It was a hit!
I came here for the first time today on a whim and my little nerd heart soared! They have a unique selection of items in addition to some classic standards for those who are less adventurous. I got a hot matcha latte and it was delicious and made with care. The staff was really friendly and the atmosphere is fun and relaxing at the same time. Will definitely be coming back!
