Have tried to eat here twice now and have just been generally unimpressed with the sandwiches. The tofu is deep fried which is upsetting and they don’t put much cilantro or cucumber but way too many carrots and sauce. My boyfriend tried the beef today and didn’t like it, there was more Mayo than anything else on his.Maiku Vietnamese pho in the strip district has been our go to for years and I think we’ll just stick with that.
Lunch stop during open streets Pittsburgh bike riding. My brother picked up the sandwich while I watched the bikes. We got the beef Banh Mi sandwich and ate it outside. It was so good that I went back to pick up a sandwich later the same day for my husband.Came back got into what I thought was the line. No one’s offered to take my order. A couple came in a few minutes after me and the cashier asked if they could help them as soon as they came in. I of course let them know I had been there prior and that yes they can certainly help me. I asked for the beef banh mi sandwich and they told me that they ran out. I got 2 of the recommended pork bowls instead. Was not a big deal and would NOT recommend. A lot of rice. Minimal veggies. Was a hit earlier with the sandwich and then a miss with the bowls. The sandwich is good though and worth the stop if you decide to pass through Butler Street, Lawrenceville in Pittsburgh. The sauce they use really makes the sandwich pop with the bread and veggies.
Really enjoyed this place! The food was great and the staff were friendly. There’s also an outdoor place to eat for when the weather is nice.
Cute place. Nice outdoor seating. Friendly employees! Bubble tea !!!
if you are going for the blue bubble tea make sure you specifically say you want milk.I was very excited about the blue bubble tea. I order the taro flavor and end up with a cup of pea flower water with syrup and boba, for $6. It tastes like sugar water, for $6.I was very confused and asked why there’s no milk. The staff said I didn’t ask for milk. But for my friend who ordered one with leechee flavor, she got a normal milk tea, and she didn’t mention anything about milk neither.I honestly feel like most people would assume bubble tea has milk, and the staff didn’t even ask me if I don’t want milk. This is really disappointing
The food is so tasty. I crave the sauce. It goes great with their tea and coffee, as well. Also, run by extremely nice people. They always make me smile.
Enjoyed a “Cool Chick” bahn mi and a side of kimchi. Both were excellent- the kim-chi was the best I’ve ever had! The Vietnamese iced coffee was tasty too.
Banh Mi and Ti is the physical embodiment of sunshine and serotonin. I’ve had banh mi a lot of places in a lot of cities and it’s never as good as this. I come here before every tattoo appointment, or when my friends are visiting or when it rains or because I’m happy or because I’m sad. There’s never a reason to not go here unless I truly can’t afford to buy my food and tip 20%. If you’re thinking about going here, stop thinking and go already.
Stopped here for lunch today and it was great! Staff was so friendly will definitely go again?
A go to lunch spot. They have the best vietnamese coffee and bubble tea. And the best bahn mi sandwiches. They are friendly and safe employees always wear masks.
