Would give a zero if there is one. Sesame chicken was stringy. Was so hungry I just had to eat and spit most of it, veg was bland. Bubble tea drink was not fresh fruits but I ordered to try. Bubble tea was not fully cooked. All in all not somewhere I’d go back to. Ps, utensils were not provided at first, had to return. Guy just unsanitarily handed it holding the actual fork/spoon instead of the handle. Actually had gastro pain after.
My experience at the Asia Tea House was horrible! The drinks were so nasty and the service was worse. When we asked to try something different the man’s response was “we sell thousands of bubble tea and you are the only one who ever complained, are you even familiar with the drink you ordered” which was completely uncalled for. I would not recommend!!!
Wish I could give zero!! Good absolutely bland, no Chinese/Asian taste of any kind, even more no taste of any kind of seasoning at all!! Please up your game!!
Tried chicken fried rice. It comes as a good portion of fried rice and bolied chicken. It was good for lunch. ( I think the portion is even sufficient for a person who eats little more).
I often go to the Asia Tea House when I’m in Oakland and want a fast food for lunch or dinner. It can’t be considered the best Asian restaurant in Pittsburgh but it has a quite honest cheap cost and quality. Since it’s only a small house where they cook everything, you order food and take it to eat at some of tables in Schenley Plaza. Depending on hours, you might have to wait 10-15 minutes in line to place an order.
Really delicious asian food. The food came out super fast. Inexpensive price for the amount of food you get. Delicious lo mein, rice, and chicken!
Boba tea ($5) was more like a slushy, and the boba wasn't soft at all. The pork dumplings were $7, but they were small and not that great tasting. I did not feel like the prices were anywhere near the worth of what I got, even for Oakland.
I really love coming to the Asia tea House. I really enjoy getting a bubble tea and sketching in the plaza. The staff is always friendly and very eager to help. They have a very nice food menu as well as a bubble tea menu. If you’ve never been here before definitely consider coming to get a tea here and enjoying the plaza.
Their service isn’t very good they are pretty sloppy in their work their chopstick the produced were slightly bent.I ordered a boba tea which in flavor was fantastic but it had a lack of consistency and the sushi was made well and amazing. My nanny ordered fried pork dumplings. They gave her fried shrimp dumplings. The dumpling part was greasy and the inside was mostly green veggie mash. She returned them for a refund.Would not eat here again. Maybe just get a Boba tea
This place has terrible Boba tea. The tea itself has a bad consistency: icy at times and watery at others. The boba is horrible. It is hard and rubbery, so it give the whole drink a terrible taste. If you want boba, don’t buy it here.
