Always great! Always worth the wait! (Recommend reservations, especially on busy holiday weekends), Friendly staff. My steak was cooked perfectly & Amel's salad is my alltime favorite. And the gazpacho - wish my gazpacho was as good!

Amel’s is a restaurant that I have been meaning to go to for 20 or 30 years. Well, I finally made it and I am really sorry that I didn’t go sooner. Service was very good. Hostess, bartender and server were all friendly and efficient. The list of beers on tap was diverse and had something for everyone. It was served at the perfect temperature. The menu is extensive with several entrees that I wanted to try but I had to pick one. I went with the Chicken Taboo which was a grilled breast seasoned with Eqyptian spices. The chicken kabob’s were also very good. Their tabouli was the best I ever had. Prices were reasonable. Not cheap but not out of line for what you get. I’ll be back.

Staff was sweet and friendly. Food unfortunately wasn't great. Falafel and lamb were extremely dry/overcooked. Seems like a popular place with families so maybe we came on an off day. Flashing string lights made the interior overstimulating though the porch looked lovely.

Hands down one of Pittsburgh’s best restaurants. The Lamb Jasmine is fabulous, as well as the grilled beet salad and the hummus. You will not be disappointed!

I had the filet with shrimp, the amels salad, and for appetizers… meatballs. The meatballs were good, had some great seasonings on them, along with the bread they gave us… delicious. The Steak was a Little mediocre, as far as steaks go… but it’s on the high end of mediocre… so it’s still pretty good. Just didn’t seem to “wow” me or knock me out of my socks. The shrimp was good with that, and the mashed potatoes along with green beans and all the other sides… were excellent. The salad was just as good as the steak. I would definitely come back and recommend if I was nearby, but it wouldn’t factor in as a “I’m gonna drive two hours to eat here”.The staff was all very very friendly and I do think you will be seeing me again.

16 years in Brookline and my first time at Amel's! How have I missed this treasure all these years??? Great food, very friendly service and super atmosphere. Will definitely be going back again and again. (I had stuffed grape leaves, pilaf, tabouleh, and roasted veggies. All excellent!)

Wonderful little restaurant with great food and an awesome food selection ! Definitely recommend if you're in the south hills area !!!

Horrible experienceOrdered lamb kebab. Lamb was not seasoned at all and not cooked. Tasted like stored lamb from two month ago. Rice was old and some were hard. Tabboleh needed seasoning. Also ordered hummus/lamb appetizer. That should be removed off the menu given how terrible that tasted. Slow service. Not a great experience and wouldn’t even recommend to someone I dislike

Best lamb shish-kabobs! Generous portions of the all fresh foods made on the premises! Amel's has never disappointed us! You cannot go wrong!

A local gem with great service We started with beans and greens fyi they add banana peppers (not listed in discription) crab soup and for the main event the seafood medley over pasta with a scampi type sauce. (mine over fresh string beans) Yum!!
