My husband who is extremely picky was very happy with his meal. It was perfectly cooked. The portions of everything are enormous. I'm sure any meat eater would love this restaurant. The drinks were great. The vegetarian options have definitely improved so I'm grateful. I did not come back for a long time because I did not know they had an additional menu for vegetarians that is not posted online. I tried the vegetarian Diavola dish. However, it was only spicy. It was a bit bland and needed a lot more salt. That and the service were my only complaints. It was still an enjoyable meal. The house salad was delicious. The interior is beautiful. Great renovation. The strawberry tiramisu is highly recommended

We celebrated our 33rd anniversary. Excellent dinner! Veal Chop Milanese was incredible! Our server Haley, the meal and the authentic Italian experience were all deserving of 5 stars! Planning to celebrate my Father’s 85 birthday there in October. Authentic Italian with American size portions!
My husband took me to Alla Famiglia this evening for our anniversary. The food was outstanding, and so very much of it! Our server, Gabbie, was extremely friendly and very knowledgeable about what the restaurant had to offer. She made us feel most welcome. We had lots of attention from Gabbie’s “assistant”, but never felt “hovered over”. We enjoyed every minute AND every bite! Thank you Alla Famiglia for making our visit extra special.

My boyfriend took me here for my 30th birthday and it was amazing. The food was phenomenal best restaurant in Pittsburgh hands down. Starting from the appetizer to the dessert everything was so flavorful and delicious. The staff was wonderful they were so helpful when it came to helping us understand the menu and they gave us their own recommendations. We will most definitely be coming back here many more times.
Such a great meal!! The food was incredible! The Husband had the veal and I had the filet mignon. Their pasta course is amazing! Vodka sauce is a must try!! They actually sell it at Whole Foods, it's that good!! I had a great birthday thanks to the chefs in the kitchen!!
Tonight my husband and I went to Alla Famiglia to celebrate my last supper before going on a new medical diet so it was quite fitting that Robert seated us under the Last Supper painting!! Lol!!! Here are photos of my Veal a la Milanese that I could barely finish half of, I forgot to take pictures of my husband’s filet tartufo, he had room for desert, which I did not, and had crème brûlée with berries.Robert was the best ever of all servers. It was our second time there - so good we returned!!
We ate here tonight with a party of 4 and had a great experience. Gabby was our waitress and she was super welcoming, friendly, and did such a good job explaining the specials, must-eats, and the wines. She was very attentive and accommodating to all of our requests/needs. The food was great- would recommend the rib eye with the mushroom truffle preparation, it was the hit of the table! And also would suggest the Caesar salad and Cacio e pepe upgrades and the raspberry tiramisu!
First time back since the pandemic started and it was even better than I remembered. Our server Hailey was OUTSTANDING. She knew the menu and the wine list like a true professional. Her suggestions and demeanor were both top notch. I don’t recall her helpers but they were both true professionals and very pleasant to talk with as well. Truly one of Pittsburghs finest.
