First time visit here, we will definitely be returning! Everything was great from start to finish and our server Emma was perfect.
Unique cocktails, perfectly prepared food, nice ambiance.
This is one of my new favorites in Pittsburgh. There is an interesting central Asian flair to many of the menu items. The menu choices are creative and expertly prepared and presented. We found the staff to be friendly and helpful each time we've been there.
Absolutely amazing food. First time in Pittsburgh and only had one night so searched hard for the perfect place and 40 North lived up to the hype.
One of the best restaurant experiences I have had. The food was simply outstanding, each item prepared with a myriad of flavor profiles. Staff were extremely friendly. Overall service was great. Highly recommend the Turkish goats head and ankle soup, As well as the Cheese bread. As an added bonus, there happened to be live jazz after. A highly enjoyable evening for my wife and I. A hidden gem in Pittsburgh.
I ordered a vegetarian dish featuring wild and/or cultivated mushrooms. Some of what was in the dish were of the consistency of shoe leather, and should never have left the kitchen. I have eaten 20 - 30 varieties of wild mushrooms in my life. I am convinced that the cook (i.e. whomever prepped the mushrooms) had to be aware of the fact that the basal portions of those (maybe G. Frondosa -- Hen of the Woods) were inedible; it would have been difficult to cut them. It is irresponsible. Obviously of no real harm, but greatly diminished my enjoyment of an otherwise very good meal.
The prime rib was great for 2 but would be ridiculous for one. It's also pretty expensive and not as tender as I would have liked. That being said, it was delicious as were the sides.
First time visitors. Welcomed as we entered; appreciate that they require proof of COVID vaccination. Lovely space. Terrific wait staff who all work together. Borscht was the best ever! Fine drinks and food.
Could use a little more âpourâ on the wines by the glass
Not a review, but tell Chef Beth: I took home the "red beans and carrots"....just had them cold for lunch topped with soft yogurt. Avocado on the side...spice level is perfect... I think I prefer them cold...see ya next time...
