It was good food! But a little more expensive than I expected! We had the 肉馍,羊肉泡馍,凉皮,羊肉串。 they were all good. But after tip and tax, it was $55! Little expensive...

This place is amazing. A real gem. I did fieldwork and lived in Xi'an, China, for several years so I am somewhat familiar with the food there. I have also visited this restaurant in Philly dozens of times over the past five years since it opened, and the food has been consistently good. People who leave bad reviews might not have ordered the right things (just saying). I have also ate several times at the other place in NYC and have their cookbook and not all of their food is 100% authentic and amazing all the time either (just saying). The best things on the menu at Xi'an Sizzling Woks in Philadelphia I think are the husband and wife meat slices (夫妻肺片), the Xi'an-style cold skin noodles (凉皮, with sesame paste or not both are equally good), the pork noodle soup (臊子面, huge portion, very good value and tasty), the exploding oil noodles (油泼面, I prefer the dry version rather than the one with soup), and the Sichuan-style cold spicy pickles (泡菜). Just typing this makes me salivate. Last time we tried to go eat here the door was closed and the tables had all been cleared away, even though it was in the middle of the evening rush--I really hope that they haven't gone out of business!

Absolutely amazing customer service! Went here accidentally after ordering from the other place, was super chill about it. Whipped up my order in 10 min so I wouldn't have to go to the other store.

If you ever thought all Chinese food was the same -- come check this place out. Traditional Xi'an food is completely different from the dishes most Americans are used to, which tend to come from Sichuan, Hunan, and Guangdong. Xi'an food is so different, so varied, and just absolutely worth it.

The food tastes terrible! Nothing can compare to Xi'an famous food in NYC. Tbh, it's more expensive! I believe the person who gave a good reputation never tries a good one.

Disappointment cannot begin to sum up my feelings when I opened my delivery package of the big chicken platter via chowbus. For a price tag of $26 dollars you will see that there are an inordinate amount of large potatoes chunks. Definitely more potatoes than chicken. There are also only 2 pieces of green pepper. And only a scant bit of sauce.Having had the big chicken platter via dine in quite a while back (when it was only $17) , I was expecting a lot of sauce to coat the thick noodles, and a balance of potatoes to chicken to veg. Sadly all that is missing.Definitely not worth the money at all.

Excellent food, nice service. Loved it.

Highly recommend the biang biang noodles. This is the only restaurant I've ever seen then on the menu. Very filling and flavorful.

Service was great, but the spice level was way too low. I don't know if they gave me the white guy version or what, but even the spiciest item on the menu was less hot than Tabasco sauce.

Affordable, delicious, quick, exactly what I imagined and hoped for, good portion size.
