Really friendly and welcoming. Good prices and loved the food. Will definitely come back if we return to Philidelphia.
Choose the delicious brisket hash, which was one of many items on the menu that were tempting. Our server was delightful and attentive and the vibe was chilled and relaxed. Anxious to go back and try some of the items on the menu.
The food was delicious especially the Hot Chicken Uitsmijter. If you like spicy food, you need to try this one.My mom also love the Deep Fried Bread Pudding French Toast too.
This is a four that will probably go to a 5 next time I go. My pancakes were delicious and so was the bacon. Both of my friends said their food was great. Service was great.
Ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo sweet holy Benedict’s! The eggs Benedict with crab cakes is amazing and the bread pudding French toast is mouthing watering. Tied with my other review from Green Eggs, these two spots know how to do breakfast right and they both bring something different to the table.
Went here for an early Saturday breakfast and we really loved it. The homemade hot sauce was amazing. Had the egg sandwich which was great, came with a tasty salad and good potatoes.
All of the staff was friendly and we did not have a long wait. We ordered the traditional waffles that came with pears and the spinach and shrimp fritata with a side of bacon and fruit. Everything was SO good! The bacon was crisp yet still thick, the waffles were soft with a slight crisp on the outside. The fritata was well seasoned and the shrimp inside of it was a bonus. It tasted good without it but even better together. There is street parking outside the restaurant. Yall I am so full....
Wow. Absolutely delicious and unique dishes, very enjoyable. Everything was tasty, the service was great, and the restaurant was spacious and bright. I’d love to go try other things on the menu!
The best French toast we've every had! Our server, Teresa, was very patient and fun with us. Great atmosphere and reasonable priced. The maple lattes were also fabulous, not too sweet, but well flavored.
My husband and I were in Philadelphia one morning to drop off a pair of kittens that someone had adopted from the rescue we volunteer with. We decided to go get some food before heading back to NY and decided to eat at Winkel. The parking was a little difficult given it a weekend and there was a 30 minute wait to get a table which we didn't mind. I loved the vibe of this place and especially the waiting area, it was spacious and had a coffee bar incase people would like drink coffee whilst waiting. They also have cute benches with botanical books. The young hostesses were friendly, quick and polite. We requested a different table than the one assigned to us and they didn't mind us switching at all especially on a busy Saturday morning brunch hour. I think this place has so much natural light with the high ceilings that one can easily feel relaxed. It has that calming effect. The food was delicious although my husband did mention that the crab cakes after a couple of bites start to feel a bit much. The service was great. I wouldn't recommend the bread of the day. We didn't eat much of it. The service was quick and efficient and we'd love to come back when we're in the area again.
