First I will start by saying I am extremely confused by the amount of 4/5 star reviews for this food. The establishment itself stands for a great cause and that is what made me hesitant to leave such a bad review. However, based solely on food I cannot recommend Unity Taqueria. I’ll start with the chips and queso because that was the best part (and still not good). The queso is decent but the chips are not. My assumption is they are not homemade and essentially repackaged garbage. The burrito itself was by far the worst part, all we could taste was rice and beans- I ate a quarter of my burrito without finding one piece of chicken, or really any ingredient that was not rice or beans. I found no reason to ever give this establishment my repeat business. Sad but true. The only positive about the burrito was it was rolled incredibly but that is not convincing enough for me to justify a $40 lunch when there are so many superior options in the neighborhood!
This is our third time ordering from Unity Taqueria, and the experience has been top notch, once again. Quick, consistent, and delicious ingredients. I got the newcomer every time, in a spinach wrap with chicken and toppings of my choice. Flavor packed & filling, highly recommended!
Place is amazing. Tacos are incredible. I’m there 3 times a week. They never get my order wrong. Everything is consistent . -chef B. Berry
Order is always correct and their chorizo is delicious. Definitely going there as often as I can, so nice to have within walking distance.
Good food, friendly service, and awesome cause to support!
I'm just not used to paying over $20 for a Mexican take out meal for one person and it's very easy to do that here without having leftovers. Price is a little high, portions are a little small. If it were exceptionally good I'd be happy to pay it but I've gotten cold tacos more than once and the flavor is not what I'd expect from an authentic taqueria.I don't think it's appropriate to ask for a tip when ordering at a touch screen for take out, when prices are already relatively high. You're not offered much more in terms of service beyond the food you're already paying for. Food prep costs should just be included in food costs on menu prices. There is no parking. They have a mission beyond food and some people may value that enough to pay sit-down restaurant prices for Chipotle quality food, service, and atmosphereq(maybe slightly lesser). If it wasn't within walking distance of my home, I probably wouldn't have given it a 3rd and 4th try now.
Yummy food and caring staff. They have narcan and drug tests available which is absolutely fantastic! A great add to the neighborhood.
I’ve eaten here on multiple occasions and love their tacos, but I’m writing this specific review to compliment Unity’s wonderful customer service! I experienced a minor delivery inconvenience (from the delivery service, not Unity), and their staff was accommodating, kind, and did everything to remedy the situation. I really appreciated it!
The staff is awesome - super friendly, attentive, and my order always come out great. I highly recommend the vegan queso!
Fast, fresh, and delicious. Great options, including vegan options. Love the Texas salsa; has a mild smoky flavor. Love that this business supports those in recovery and reentry.
