Visiting and did not have a great experience here. I went from the upstairs to the downstairs bar not realizing that one of their stairwells is 'one way'. They told me I couldn't go back upstairs and would have to wait in their long line again. What sort of a rule is that?
One of the top Gay bars in the city for a casual drink!
A nice little place. Kinda Cheers-ish vibe, but they’ve got amazing windows to watch passers-by.A sweet, friendly bartender in a flat cap. The people are nice, though not really conversational to a transwoman. It seems a little clique-ish since there’s only men in the bar.But, they make a nice Bloody Mary.
Lots of fabulous people here who are so friendly and fun. Bartenders are excellent.
Max was very enjoyable and drinks were great. Open guy. Very refreshing.

Went to this establishment a few days ago with my brother and let me tell you the customer service was horrible one of the bartenders made several references to me and my brother as “you people”. I asked him to surprise me and make a drink and he made a watermelon beverage with a lot of snarky remarks. I didn’t take the drink and decided to leave. i will never visit this establishment again. if I could I would give it 0 stars. Black ppl stay clear from this place the customer service is horrible.
U Bar is in a great location and the building is very cool. The bar is a small bar with both indoor and outdoor seating. The bar was busy for a Tuesday after work. It appeared to be a fun friendly neighborhood bar with an eclectic crew of patrons. Sadly, both bartenders were unfriendly and did not appear to be enjoying their job. They were rude to all patrons that stepped up to order. The bartenders seemed to be more preoccupied in socializing with each other than assisting and providing customer service. I did notice that very few folks went back up to the bar to order another round of drinks. I dont know if it was due to poor customer service or if the patrons at that location tend to settle after one drink. I suspect that the bar could be very fun if the staff engaged with its clientele in more friendly tones. I would neither return to U Bar nor recommend.
Great Location, drinks are well priced. But the staff are really what makes it! They're friendly and good at what they do!!
