Second time dining and it was kinda blah. Ambiance was shattered by a larger party that was insanely loud and drunk for a few hours! It’s a small space and literally felt like I was at their table. The marinated hamachi was just so-so, the warm salad was nice and the beef was decent. The Valrhona chocolate soufflé was a bit runny for my taste but honestly given the ambiance issues I was just happy to be wrapping up the meal. I will say this they did have a delightful cocktail selection.

An extremely fine dining experience. Every one of the five courses were a culinary masterpiece. Already booked another reservation.

One of the best meals I have had in Philly. The flavors were sublime. I highly recommend going here as the food will not disappoint.

My husband and I had very good experience throughout the night. We visited to take advantage of restaurant week cuz it's a good chance to try out new restaurants and it was beyond our expectation.Good food and good service. Even though on busy Saturday evening, the service was nice and efficient. Loved the cocktails and kind bartenders! We will be returning to get full courses and can't wait to do so ?

My husband and I love to eat and trying new places. While we have been to Townsend before, this was the first time trying the tasting menu. For $100, you get a lot and get a lovely adventure of the taste buds. Now, it has been 5 months since we had a date night (newborns will do that), but we thoroughly enjoyed our time. Our server was also very attentive and kind. The beef tartar and the skate were my favorite.

Absolutely incredible food, service, and experience. Excellent romantic date spot with a cherished partner.

Restaurant 4/5Service 3/5Food 2/5Went here with my girlfriend prior to the pandemic for Valentines day Special, with Prefix 4 course tasting menu.First of all. For the price: Over $125 per person. (Drinks not included) We definitely expected better.-Restaurant- ambiance, cleanliness, overall appearance.Overall the restaurant looks "good" and clean, setup was not overly crowded, 2nd floor was a nice touch, with a bar right below it.-Service-Hostesses were very welcoming and friendly. Waitresses and waiters were pretty attentive, but just doesn't seem to enjoy their job. The mood was very "just eat a get out-ish" Takes your order, bring you the food, explain it quickly and walks away" No follow ups.-Food-This is where it fell short for us. The very first bite ( I won't even call it a course, since it is such a tiny bite, it is almost size of our pinky) I get it was supposed to be amuse-bouche, but I didn't think I was going to be sharing one single amuse-bouche that looked like it had been cut in half and share with my girlfriend. It would not be so bad, if it had tasted good, it didn't. It had no flavor, other than an overwhelming amount of saltiness. amuse-bouche is supposed to be a small bite pack with a large punch of flavor. Our 2nd course was "OK" at best. It was supposed to be a soup, but it mirrors of what could be a single scoop of cream of broccoli from Wawa top with a tiny piece of Ravioli. Our main entree was supposed to be stuffed veal. "Pretty good" But it tasted like someone had simply stuffed a steak inside fish cake, and cut it into slices and call it fine dining.Dessert (Chocolate layer cake) - More like "Dessaster" It tasted frozen and not homemade, like someone had gone to a Supermarket bought a box of cake and cut it into pieces and giving them to customers. The cake itself tasted old and dry. Sadly neither one of us took more than 2 bites. Conclusion: Would I go there again? Probably not... there's much better options around the area for the same if not better price.

Just go here. The tasting menu with wine pairings was exquisite. The service was incredible. The ambience was perfectly cozy. I drooled the entire time, I consumed every bite with gusto, and I will be back if they allow me.

Very clean and accessible place. They serve big portions and for affordable prices. We liked the menu a lot and the waiters were very affable and explanatory. Recommended.

The service was friendly and observant. The place has a great feel to it.
