I always forget to write a review but have been coming here for years. I usually always get the same dish and they never fail me. Perfect place to take a lady to wine and dine or just have a beautiful dinner with family or friends.

Never really leave reviews but this place is incredible. The food is delicious and the portions are great. Customer service was top notch and thoughtful. I will come back here again and suggest you give it a try!!

Good is delicious, so are the sangria. I love the sausage in flames so cool looking. Steak and seafood excellent, will return again.

Perhaps it was the result of inflation, but the paella (spelling incorrect) was noticeably less saffrony than previous visits. Nevertheless, this fine restaurant is well worth the flight of steep steps to the second floor to get there. The Portuguese eat dinner late, so the hours prior to 8pm are prime for us Americanos. The portions are more than generous. Good food, nice folks.

OMG More Food than I expected!

What a hidden gem! Great service, amazing food!!! Will be back again

Ordered take out. Arrived hour after like we were told. Long story short paid upon arrival. Bill total 118.00. Was told 20 more minutes. An hour later I asked for refund and left with no dinner. Traveled 25 minute's to get there. Never again. Horrible ownership

Tio Pepe's is a gem. I had been looking for some time for a seriously good Portuguese restaurant. I found it. Tio Pepe's. They are as good as anything you would find in Newark Ironbound section, and that is saying a lot.We got 2 trays of their Paella Valenciana and it was OUTSTANDING. Loaded with meats and seafood. The rice was perfect (NOT mushy!). Excellent value for the money. For 130 bucks (takeout) I fed eight people. Yeah, you read that right. Eight people, three of whom had hearty appetites. I still have leftovers.Parking is on the street, and you need to be quick to get a spot. Park on Castor. The bartenders downstairs are...uh...really quite lovely to look at. Behave yourselves guys. :-)You will not go wrong eating here. It is outstanding.

1st time here and seafood soup was soooooo delicious. Will be back for more. Only problem was the lighting...kind of dark and lighting on ur face. Waitress was really nice and helpful.

Been going to this place for years. Wish it was closer to my house
