Expect to wait to be seated on a Sunday at this diner, because this place is booked and busy. But it's because the service is great. The servers are very warm and welcoming and the food comes out hot and is delicious. Helpings are hearty. The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars was because they removed shrimp salad off the menu which is one of my favorites and the fish tacos I did order as a replacement option pick weren't as fabulous. Just my personal opinion though. Kids ordered breakfast platters which they absolutely loved. Don't hesitate to stop in this place. Breakfast, lunch, or dinner...you won't be disappointed. Best place on the blvd hands down for a quick diner experience...and I've been to them all. Revisted the diner a month later for dinner and wasnt as impressed with the waiter service but the food was still good. Photos shown are from dinner on April 15th, 2022
The place is amazing and fresh! Went for breakfast and had great food. Bacon, sausage and eggs over easy were cooked perfectly. The home fries with onions added were the freshest and lightest I have ever tasted. Also had the french toast and it was really good. Fast service and the employees were all very pleasant. Definitely will be back to try lunch and dinner! They also have a very interesting cocktail menu and Coffee with a 'kiss' ?
The renovations are very nice, both inside and outside. The hostess service needs improvement. The server service was excellent. The food was typical diner food and I enjoyed it. The coffee is weak. There was butter on the floor underneath a table. The prices have gone up. Additional seating while waiting would be nice. There is a large parking lot.
This restaurant is amazing. From the staff, to the food, to the environment. I wish I can give this restaurant even more stars. Our waiter was Lee and he was as funny and polite and fun as ever. If you ever get a chance to come to this restaurant, ask for Lee as your waiter and enjoy the experience you're about to have.
Love the renovation, I really fell I was in a casino when I opened the door, still with the dinner vibes. Service was great, and food as well.
Crazy for prices and I won’t be getting food from here again. I got a to go order. I ordered 3 blueberry pancakes and sausage. Well it was over $14. I called them to see why when regular pancakes are $7:45. Well she says, $4 for blueberries and the rest tax. Well it doesn’t take a mathematician to figure out that is well beyond what they should charge in text!
Nice modern retro atmosphere, food had a beautiful presentation. Their southern bowl was a dry, could have used more gravy. Drinks and food options were adequate. Service was great
Service is great, loved my server but the others seemed a little too overly nice which came off as fake, food is mediocre at best. I got the cheese grits with eggs and fish (only fish they have is flounder), the cheese was a fake shredded cheese that didn’t really melt , the fish was tasteless just dredged in bread crumbs and my significant other had pancakes French toast breakfast platter; the French toast was bland and the the pancakes were bland no taste to them at all really. I planned on giving them another shot and they renovated the place nicely but the food just isn’t up to par. The booths are actually really small so if you’re plus sized like yours truly your chest will literally sit on the table and you will not be comfortable. Definitely more of an older crowd scene not really a to go spot for a younger crowd.
Service was pretty bad, our waitress was super inattentive to begin with but we were starving and tried not to mind it. Food was great, didn’t take too long to come but again she just sat it down and forgot about us until she came to drop off the check. She said we could take it up front and pay for it, so we went up front. We’re waiting in line behind a bunch of waitresses who are running their checks with credit cards… the lady behind the counter Nancy wasn’t in the greatest mood and being very snippy to them. We figured it was inside work behavior where they all were comfortable with each other and tried to ignore it since it didn’t concern us. It was finally out turn to pay, for a second she acted like she worked in customer service when she said hello but then she quickly forgot as she snatched the card out of my husbands hand. We asked her to put the tip on the card and when she asked how much we said 20% assuming she’s working the register and could easily figure that number out, she’s so annoyed she exhales as though we just made her do something out of the ordinary… she rolls her eyes and says how much is that? Us, confused say again 20% and she very nastily answers I need an exact amount I don’t have a calculator. As she’s hurrying us to come up with an amount we ask her for a moment so we can pull out our calculator on our phone and she’s huffing and puffing like we’re inconveniencing her!!! Omg I’ve never had an experience like that ever! And we go out to eat 2/3 times a week! First and absolute last time there. I don’t think Nancy realizes she works in customer service. Thanks for a memorable experience.
