The restaurant itself is very nice. Great customer service! But I have to be honest about the food. We were a party of 10, so we were seated right next to the smoke filled kitchen. My eyes were burning from the strong smell of lighter fluid and heavy smoke every time the kitchen door opened. I ordered the ribs, shrimp, cornbread and coleslaw. The food was mediocre. Everything on my plate tasted like lighter fluid. It was a no for me!!!
We went last night and it was amazing. I HIGHLY recommend checking this place out! As someone who lived in Austin for 5 years, this was some of the best barbeque that I've had. We happened to come in during Happy Hour, so we ordered a couple of Sazeracs. The sesame ginger burnt ends were out of this world. They should do a collab with Kaiseki. We also ordered the totchos, which were also fantastic. We'll definitely be back!!
Amazing food, great service with lovely staff - had our best rips ever!As we Germans would say: da kann man nicht meckern. If we visit Philly again we will definitely come back
I can’t recommend this place enough. Bold and complex flavors keep me coming back every week. BBQ sauce is tangy and unique, great picketed veg!
Chad has made a fantastic new restaurant. Scott, king wong and Christian helped to make our visit a memorable experience. The food is world class and the booze selection is one hundred percent first rate
Have been driving by for some time now and finally I came to try the bbq, boy let me tell you, I WILL DEFINITELY BE BACK service A1, food A1, atmosphere A1, can't recommend this place enough for bbq. Come try it now!!
I’ve been meaning to get over here for a while now. I finally made it there last night and am glad we chose to eat here. I’m not going to lie. The phrase Totchos is what ultimately steered us here.Who wouldn’t want loaded tots with BBQ cheese and other beautiful toppings? We started with them, and they were better than I had hoped. We then made a combo of our own by ordering some ribs and pork shoulder. We had the brisket on the Totchos, so we covered the meats well. I wanted the wings, but they were out. This has been an ongoing theme lately as another BBQ joint I went to was also out. Oh boy, I’m glad they were 86’d as I was having a hard time with the price of $5 a wing. I was hoping they were the whole 3-segmented wing, but from other reviews online, they look to be either the drum or flats. They must be some wings.Ribs were perfect, and the smoked pork shoulder was so tender. We ordered extra meats for lunch the next day, and that was a great decision. We had the burger and chicken sandwich as our entrees. The whiskey onions and bacon on the burger were so flavorful. Great beef and another wonderful item. The chicken sandwich had a great crunch and was very moist. All in all a great spot.I hope more people start showing up as it was quite empty on a Friday night. Thinking people are still being cautious about covid, but they checked our vaccine cards upon entry. Enjoy.
Great BBQ! We started with the wings and totchos, which were awesome. Then came the ribs and cornbread. The portions were huge, as here the ribs themselves. Full rack is enough for 2 easily. They were delicious! If you like BBQ, seriously give this place a shot!
I've been going to the Lucky Well in Ambler consistently since it opened years ago. The Philly location might be my favorite out of the 3. Awesome venue, amazing food, and the fried chicken sandwich is the best I've ever had. Ribs are always spot on perfect, and the drinks are spectacular.
Went on opening night. Everything was outstanding, especially the Ribs. Some of the best I’ve ever had. Great service as well.
