Really everything here is great but the bagels are amazing. If I lived any closer I would be here everyday for breakfast.
Went for a walk looking for a neighborhood spot to grab small breakfast bites to take on the go and this spot delivered. Bagel was delicious (soft, chewy, perfectly balanced flavor to the cream cheese) and we also grabbed a few pretzels to enjoy. Absolutely delicious and so happy we found this place!

The most decadent breakfast complements of The Kettle Black. Worth waiting in line at 8AM. Delicious light bagels, uniquely curated spreads, cinnamon bun was too die for…and overall favorite was the dark chocolate sea salt focaccia. Thanks for the great recommendations! A unique experience in Old City!
I've been to Kettle Black twice on trips to Philly, once when only three bagels were left--and they were *fantastic* bagels. Yesterday, I got there early, and scored croissants, a cinnamon roll, a chocolate chip scone, a pretzel, and a baguette. Incredibly, every single one of those things was perfect and delicious too! My husband and I thought the baguette especially was one of the best baguettes we'd ever eaten. And the young woman behind the counter was extremely friendly too. What an amazing place!
I love this bakery, everything they do is delicious! The one thing that would make their products even better is if they could cook their onions far away from the breads. Pastries and breads smell like onion (from the bagels I suppose) and it's just unfortunate. Even still, everything is so good!

They sell out of their popular items quick! I always miss their regular chocolate croissants but manage get their vegan version a few times - which are amazing.

One of the best bagels I’ve ever had… Their coffee is top notch too. I appreciate their detail to safety during this time as well. Worth the wait!
