Hands down best Indian meal!
Family time together was made better by the food at this resturant. Everything was labeled gf, v which made our special dieters easier to feed.
Thanal had great food and service, but their AC wasnât working when we went, so we sat outside. Unfortunately it was in the high 80s that particular day, so it wasnât the best weather for outdoor dining. Weâd definitely go back though when their AC is working again or the weather is more compatible to outdoor dining.
Terrific service and a menu that will please both the traditionalist and the explorer of Indian cuisine. Full bar.

The food was absolutely spectacular - big portions, good variety. The service was also excellent and staff super friendly. This place is a gem!
Friendly staff and nice atmosphere. The service was pretty good too. It was bit crowded and had some wait time for walking in. So would recommend reserving in advance if possible. The food was great too but a little costly compared to its quality.Had great options on drinks too and cocktails were also available.
Food was delicious! Beer menu was nice selection however several beers unavailable, one beer was flat, and they didnât seem to care.
Best Indian restaurants in Philly. My cousin and I walked over to Thanal Saturday night after reading great reviews. The reviews were 100% right. The Gobi Manchurian was excellent, maybe the best Iâve ever had at an Indian restaurant in America. The Paneer Makhani was also incredibly tasty, it did lack a proper amount of salt imo tho. The naan were light and crisp yet still chewy. The only issue we had was that we asked to be seated outside, and after being seated, we sat waiting for at least 15 minutes before a server came to take our order. They apologized for apparently forgetting about us and were very attentive after that initial issue. I will definitely be coming back to try out other menu items.
Great Indian food in Philly. Tried the Biryani, Tikka Masala, Butter Chicken and a few types of nan bread. All were delicious. Warm and welcoming service. Will go again.
