This is really one of my favorite restaurants in Chinatown the tonkatsu terakawa Signature Ramen ? is perfect on any day but especially a cold gloomy or rainy day I recommend any of the appetizers my favorite is the Japanese sausage, seaweed salad and also Takoyaki Octopus puffs
This is my absolute favorite ramen restaurant in Philly. Amazing food! The whole experience from start to finish was great, the staff here is also friendly and kind. Plus it’s all at an affordable price. I totally recommend this place and can’t wait to come back
Hands down, my favorite ramen experience for in person dining in Philly. Amazing staff that is courteous and friendly. The ramen is amazing, I always go with the signature item and it never disappoints. They do a great job of getting you on the wait list and efficient to get you seated. Great place to eat solo when you have a craving.
My husband and I decided to check out this spot for dinner. It was Thursday night and they were busy but we got a table in less than 10 minutes. Very friendly service. I tried the spicy ramen and asked them to make it extra spicy and it was excellent. Their tan tan ramen was very good too.
About 8 different types of ramen on the menu. The spicy ramen with a seafood broth has really good depth of flavor and some of the toppings are really good: the egg especially. The chicken ramen had much less depth though it got better over time. The portions are solid but not huge esp for the $15 price. Restaurant is a little tightly packed but it works. Their COVID protocols were really safe and the service is attentive.
Yummy Ramen in Philly. They have a few locations but I find this Philly location the best.Restaurant is small so if you have a big group, most likely will be split between two tables.Katsudon was good, and Terakawa Ramen as well. Broth was very good. Not too heavy but not light either. Just right. The noodles were thin straight noodles, which I like. Overall a great bowl of ramen. The "kaedama", extra order of noodles was good too. Good portion size & was served hot and quickly.Love this spot for ramen in Philly.
Good flavors, but interesting since the broth (Spicy Ramen) smelled stronger than I expected. Noodles were a bit overcooked for my liking. And broth was on the salty side. Toppings were good but expect half an egg and not a whole egg. Overall experience was ok. I wish I had left my jacket outside as there was no space to hang jacket. And I ended up eating spicy/hot ramen with my winter jacket on. Saw others wrapping their jackets around their waist but wouldn't have worked for me. Good COVID procedures. We got seated right away but we did go off hours. The buns and katsu look good. If we happen to be around the area, we might give another shot and try again.
There was a wait about 30min, but I expected it based off of previous reviews. The service was great and the food was very delicious. It was the perfect day for ramen. I tried the Takoyaki and Miso it was very good. Cousin tried the Tempura Shrimp and Spicy Ramen and loved it.
The place is cramped which is a down side my wingspan which is 5 feet can literally cover 3 tables. Came here for my birthday yesterday to satisfy my ramen cravings and I wasn't disappointed. Flavor was good. Ramen was spicy. Surprisingly I really liked the Seaweed salad
Lives up to its reputation! I have never had ramen like this before. All the items on the menu look exceptional but the ramen is definitely the best!
