Sweet Lucy's is the absolute best BBQ in the area! The portions are huge and the staff is all friendly and attentive! We recently booked Sweet Lucy's to cater a family party and Alison has been AMAZING, she is has been so accommodating and responsive. This is clearly such a well run & managed establishment. One of the best spots in Philly!
I have been to Sweet Lucy's now and again over the years going way back to when they first opened. I had a party the other day and decided I was not cooking, so I got Sweet Lucy's to cater it. We ordered for 40 people, they provided enough food for an army.. awesome, no worries of running out of food. They got there on time to set up, had all of the supplies needed, I did not need to do a thing. Everything was still warm and tasted great. I have been eating ribs, pulled pork and coleslaw for lunch and dinner the last few days, and even reheated in a microwave (yes I know, sacrilege for such awesome ribs), it is still fantastic. Highly recommended for your next event.
We were part of a private group of 40+ people having dinner here. It was served buffet style and was so good. We had pulled pork, smoked Turkey, baby back ribs, mac and cheese, corn bread, mashed sweet potatoes, salad and dessert.
I highly recommend hiring Sweet Lucy's to cater your wedding! We hired them to cater our 200 person wedding and they were absolutely incredible (full service catering). Ali helped us with every step throughout the process, she consistently went above and beyond to create our vision - she even walked through the venue with us to map out the buffet/cocktail tables and helped us figure out quantities for our rentals. The food was AMAZING - we had guests from all over the country who raved about it. Our wedding was over 3 weeks ago and I'm still hearing about how delicious the food was. This was our easiest and best decision for our big day!! We can't take credit for the idea though, we attended a wedding years ago that had Sweet Lucy's and we decided at that time that we would have them for ours (we were not even engaged at the time). We are forever grateful for the opportunity to have them cater our wedding. If you're thinking about it... DO IT!
They were good years back, not sure if it’s a new cook but the meat tastes and smells horrible now! Super disappointed. Rather go to Boston market at this rate. Not sure why my chicken still has blood on it smh.
From the outside it looks like an old deserted factory. It’s very cool, cozy, kid friendly, huge indoor tables and booths. So, it’s plain but the food is so good. I got a platter of Pulled BBQ Pork and it comes with 3 sides. I choose Mac & cheese that was great and a small side of Chili, and Baked Beans. The food was awesome . Dessert was Chocolate Chip Bread Pudding which was also good. I tried almost everything and everything was great. A must go too! Wheel Chair accessible, they also serve alcoholic beverages. Very casual.
My book club (Books, Brunch and Friends) met at Sweet Lucy's today for our meeting and the food was fabulous! We were a party of 8 and the service was spot on!
The food was excellent. Great barbecued ribs and sliced brisket. The sides are delicious and the Chocolate Chip Bread Pudding is incredible. Love the casual atmosphere and the friendly service. I thoroughly enjoyed my meal there!
Food was overall good and really like the spicy BBQ sauce. The sides were a little underwhelming but good. My only real complaint is the collard greens...they tasted good but half the side was inedible because it was thick stem pieces. Any good southerner knows you remove the stems before cooking..
SO GOOD. Only pictures i could get because everything was already gone. We ordered 2 platters (1 brisket and 1 half rack of ribs), and got Mac and cheese, corn bread, cole slaw, garlic mashed potato’s, chili, a side salad, and the bread pudding. All phenomenal. Great prices for everything you get. And it arrived fast and hot via DoorDash. We can’t wait to check out the actual location soon!
