Great spot for Philly cheese steaks, conveniently located off the Passyunk Ave exit from Interstate 76. More of a locals "if you know you know" kind of spot.Better than Pat's and Geno's and far less of the crowds. Try the Florida Style Pizza, a deep fried slice of pizza, another South Philly delicacy.
To be honest the steak was really small. Its decent , but were in Philly so that's not really hard to do. For 11 bucks a cheesesteak I'd def expect some little bigger. Also the steak was really fatty, just about every slice had a big piece of fat on it. Wouldn't really recommend this nor would I go again. I had high hopes as I use the laundry mat next door, but not what I was expecting. Try it for yourself though, but there's definitely better local cheese steaks in south Philly

Just picked up a couple of cheese steaks, cheese fries and onion rings. The staff are really nice. Since I picked up multiple steaks the kind of steak was written on the front and the order was packed very neatly. My cheese steak hoagie was delicious and the cheese fries had cheese to the end of the container. Their onion rings were still hot when we got home. Thanks Philip's for a very delicious meal!
Here’s the thing. I really wanted to love this cheesesteak. The roll was really good, perfect amount of whiz, onions done to perfection. But the meat tastes unseasoned. This was my first time so I’ll chalk it up to an oversight, but it was very noticeable. Luckily the amount of whiz I got provided enough salt flavor. I will be back but it missed the fifth star because of that reason.
just my opinion, but Philip's is the best steak in the city that's open 24 hours.

Had to try the inside out and it was WELL worth it... Staff was great, foods even better! Will definitely stop by again when I'm in the area.
Unfortunately I didn't get a photo because it was late and I had just landed at the airport and just wanted to get some food in my system before driving 2 hours. This steak is good. I've had much better in Philly, but i've also had much worse. This is middle of the road for me but at the time of night I got it and it's fairly close location to the airport it was perfect. Some weird guy was trying to sell me a bottle of Canadian Whiskey in the parking lot but that's neither here nor there. Check them out.
Went there this afternoon and the boys didn’t pay attention and they food was terrible. I cut up with they gave me added my own cheese and some yummy sauce and made a bomb edible cheesesteak. I should have to do that though.. the cheese fries have to go.. they are nasty. I was excited but I’ll never go back.
