This has been my favorite Cambodian restaurant for a long time even before they moved to Washington avenue however I would like them to get more specials their lemongrass prawns and their street corn on the cob is amazing but they never have it. Customer service has become Hit or Miss as well since it's all the kids now that's working as servers they're not personable
Wow, I dined here for the first time tonight and was not disappointed. Every dish had so much flavor and tasted fresh. I tried the calamari, beef skewers, pin noodles, chicken sour soup, and the E1 chicken entree. I have nothing negative to say about any of it! Absolutely delicious. I also had the Cafe Du Monde and oh my goodness is it addicting. I will definitely be back again and highly recommend for an authentic Cambodian food experience.
WHO'S SOPHIE? [email protected] coming in HOT with the authentic Cambodian and Khmer dishes in PhillyBiggest highlight was the pin noodles. They are SO HARD to find in the US key alone in Philly. When they had it on the menu I knew I had to try! We got it vegetarian, plane and simple. It was surgeries with bean sprouts and a soy base. So good, so chewy, and so flavorfulAlso got the beef chow fun, chicken curry, morning glory veggies (another fave of mine) , and fried chicken wingsOverall pretty authentic, having been to Cambodia myself. Would definitely come back!
Fresh and light with just the right amount of spice on a hot summer Day!
We love this place! It is not only very serene and comfortable, but the food is amazing! Our seafood noodle dish (I can't remember the name)was both fresh tasting and bursting with flavor. We also had a green curry noodle dish that was delicious too! The red curry was heaven...we can not wait to return...We were there for lunch..apparantely they have a different chef for their dinner menu..we love Sophie's Kitchen!!!?
Amazing place. The fish is one of the best I have tried.Great service
Both the food and service at Sophie's Kitchen was incredible. Our table's server made great recommendations and was friendly and informative. The red snapper with tamarind sauce was crispy and juicy. The grilled chicken skewers had such a nice texture and had a pleasantly smoky char. The pumpkin soup had deep complex notes with delicious spices vegetables mixed in. I'm excited to stop by again!
First Cambodian dinner we had in Philly and it did not disappoint! Fantastic service and amazing food in a casual setting. The chicken and beef skewers were grilled perfectly, the flat noodles were out of this world, and the calamari was bomb. Highly recommend!
Delicious traditional Cambodian food! Just as good as my Cambodian grandmother-in-law's cooking, and that's a pretty high bar ;)
Food is good but the servers are just a bunch of kids who don't really have any experience. Need to hire some experienced servers. Just order takeout and you'll be better off.
