Such a fun little candy shop. The aroma was out of this world. Lots of choices. Everything looked delicious. The young gentleman who worked there was so nice and super helpful. Recommended.
Very nice place. A little small location with only 1 person trying to help. They were out of some items that they were supposed to have in stock. Visited this place as part of Amazing Co experience.
Fantastic shop! Lots of candy options -- honey licorice, milk chocolate bar, and salt water taffy we're all highlights.
Walking into this shop you immediately become enveloped in the deliciously sweet smell of treats and chocolates. We were greeted by a very friendly and open woman who gave us in-depth history of the shop and it only made everything even sweeter. Most everything is made in house and you can definitely tell, the consistency and beauty of each hand crafted confection could never be matched. This will be a place I wish I could take home to share its charm.
Cool place to visit. This is americas oldest continuously operating confectionery shop. They have much to offer. It is a bit pricy but they have budget friendly options. One of the staff members we spoke to was very friendly and attentive. The architectural styles are lovely to look at. This will be a brief visit but worth a visit.
So I've been to this store a few times, recently went back after few years and I was not impressed. The prices are way too high, 60 dollars for a small box of chocolates??? A box that fit 10 or less, small chocolates. That's insane. The next size was 90 which was not much bigger ...Or 6.25 for a small chocolate covered pretzel! You can purchase 2 pounds or more of amazing chocolates from Randoulphs bakery for the same price you guys charge for a small box. That's saying alot.
Friendly and helpful staff, and great selection of chocolates! Decently priced. Oldest continuously running confectionery in the country. I definitely recommend a stop here.
Best chocolate I have ever had. The staff was amazingly friendly and helpful, and you can tell they take pride in their creations. I was given a lot of information about the different offerings, as well as the Victorian toy candy. I brought a lot home with me and everyone has loved the chocolate and were fascinated by the toy candy. This is now going to be a regular stop for me whenever I'm in Philly. If you are thinking about going, do it! They are expensive, but absolutely worth every penny!
Quality chocolates and candy. The staff is very friendly. Just beware, prices are extremely high.Update: Whatever you do, do NOT get the Sea Salt & Thai Pepper chocolate. Quite literally the worst chocolate I’ve ever had. The smell is unbearable! I even washed my hands and could still smell the horrible chocolate scent on them. I was only able to eat a little piece and had to throw it away. What a shame since it was so expensive!
Been going here for years and the quality has definitely dropped off as of late. With an increase in prices year after year I don’t think the candy is worth the price tag for most items anymore. I hope they refocus on quality candy instead of trying to reinvent the wheel with house made chocolate.
