The Food here is fresh & the flavors are DIFFERENT! I absolutely love it. If your looking for something other than the average Philly takeout EAT HERE!!!! The Yucca bread was delicious, my rice bowl was way more than I expected. I'm gonna try something new every visit until I've tried everything on their menu!!
Tried this place for the first time. We ordered via UberEats and when we got the order we were missing our 1/4 chicken and chicken fried rice. My bf had the chicken tacos which were okay, until he found a huge bone in the taco. Luckily, it was a huge bone that he caught otherwise he might have missed it and potentially choke. When you’re paying this much for food, you expect it to be delicious. Very disappointed.
Their empanadas, pan de bono, and fries are bangin'. I want to try more of their menu, but those are so good that I just can't NOT get them.
I ordered on Uber eats and the rice was the most awful tasting yellow rice I have ever had. Who is cooking this rice? This is not at all Latino food or Peruvian to be exact. And I am from Latin America! Secondly, and the whole reason I am writing this review; the beans, firstly are smallest portion, the tiny bin wasn’t even full and they tasted awful. Under cooked, flavor less, with random pieces of sweet potatoes and bacon that made the taste more like sweeter American style baked beans. Please hire some Latinos to cook this food. I am beyond shocked that you would sell these rice and beans to people.
I’ve had great Peruvian food in the past. A highlight of the cuisine is the green cilantro sauce.unfortunately this place had green sauce that tasted like a mouthful of mayonnaise. They did have decent chicken, not as flavorful as more authentic Peruvian spots, but cooked well. The rice was an extremely small portion and just totally just not pleasant as far as taste and texture.
Ordered DoorDash from here last night and was blown away. Chicken is incredible, the cheese bread is incredible (even more so with the Guava), and the empanadas are incredible.If I had to absolutely had to give a criticism (and it's a small one), it's that the spicy cheese sauce didn't pack much heat. Truth be told, the sauces (while delicious) weren't even needed because everything packed so much flavor.Easily one of the best meals I've had in months & I can't wait to try the rest of the menu.
Has been a go to place for me since they opened but last night I placed an order and after waiting an hour it was cancelled without any reason. Very disappointed.Update: Rustika reached out to me to explain that Ubereats was the reason for the delivery failure. Rustika's food is great and I highly recommend.
