Picked up a couple of spicy chicken sandwiches the other day. The Redcrest and the South-x-Southwest and a corn pudding. Either I was really hungry, or the chicken sandwich, was one of the best I have eaten. The chicken had a crispy coating, is tender and had so much flavor.
For a fried chicken place, I thought it was pretty average. The food was good and I was satisfied, but I have definitely had better chicken and sandwiches. I ordered out from there once and when I got home, some of my order was missing so make sure you check before leaving.
Our dog has never once in his life snatched anything off of a table and eaten it, but he got to the Redcrest chicken sandwich and biscuit I ordered when our backs were turned. So, I assume it was pretty good
Delicious, filling fried chicken shop on East Passyunk Ave. the sandwiches are HUGE. Can’t beat them for $9. They have extras like fries, Mac n cheese, Cole slaw, and more. Pretty quick usually takes 15 mins for an order. Highly recommend.

My dad orders from here almost every day for lunch. It's his favorite place to get fried chicken. Every now and then, I have time to eat with him, and I've never been disappointed. The skin is always crispy and delicious, the chicken moist and tender, and don't even get me started on the FRIES. The biscuits are slamming, too (and cube, which for some reason makes my serotonin levels shoot through the roof).Their fries were also the first solid food I ate after having my wisdom teeth removed, so maybe I'm just biased by saying they were the greatest tasting thing I've ever had in my life. Anyway, I really couldn't recommend this place enough!
The sandwich was good, the crisp on the chicken was good, the chicken was juicy, but it overall lacked flavor. It felt like something was missing.
Great! Had the redcrest chicken sandwich and the coleslaw to top it with. Guys behind the counter were nice & everything is fresh. The “drop” the chicken in the fryer after ordering. The bun was great too.

It is one of the best chicken spots I've ever been too.....I'm a cook for the Milwaukee Bucks and I judge food Everywhere I go and I can say tht the biscuits are amazingly buttery and flaky, the chicken is to die for and the strawberry lemonades are awesome 10 all the way around the board
