Great dive bar, yearly tradition. Very smoky, but that all part of it.Update: NO LONGER SMOKY!You can now go there and not smell terrible in the morning. Or maybe you innately just smell terrible and that's not my problem. Smoking cigarettes is no longer allowed here. Smell however you want.
Old School South Philly Vibe. Very nice bartender. However, the draft beer was skunk and the soda was flat. My girlfriend and I left after taking a couple sips of our respective drinks. I'd stick to bottled stuff if I ever stop by again. EDIT: Per request, the type of beer was Kenzinger. This was on May 14th, 2022

I witnessed a young trendy couple with their friends think it was a good idea to bring their baby into this bar, which is ill advised to say the least (this is still a smoking bar afterall). Luckily, for better or worse, the locals picked up on this quite quickly and politely asked them to leave in their native Philadelphia tongue. After the group had exited, he outraged male of the couple stormed back in exclaiming "we aren't from here!" Once again, the locals explained to this man that taking to your baby to a dive bar at midnight exhibits poor decision making and parental instincts and that he should leave immediately. Welcome to Philly! ?
Absolute not even close to a top bar in pa. Literally couldnt sit at the bar without a vaccination card! Will never be back!!!
Great place to hit up for a drink or two. Staff are friendly and give good cheesesteak suggestions. Was not crowded when we went early afternoon.
