We absolutely LOVE Ramona Susan's - so much that we hired them to make our wedding cake (funfetti, of course), accompanied by rainbow cookies and chocolate covered strawberries! Everything was absolutely delicious! Highly recommend them for all of your cake and baked good needs.(Cake topper belonged to my grandparents, our wedding would have been their 75th wedding anniversary)
Everything here is amazing!!!!! The hot chocolate….is decadent!!!!!!! If you haven’t tried it…you need to!!!!!! If I could give Ramona Susan’s a higher rating I totally would ????♥️
I live nearby to Ramona Susan's Fishtown location and have impulsed some wonderful treasts in the past - but I recently placed my first borthday cake order. I ordered under the required 7 days so I needed to call South Street to confirm they could but everyone was very friendly and accomidating.The cake was ready to go when I stopped by the Fishtown location. And I picked up a GF treat for a family member with a gluten allergy. I asked the cashier for a recommendation and she suggested the cake parfaits (which she had just made!).The cake (classic Choc icing/yellow cake) received rave reviews - and I received many requests to bring additional cake parfaits for our non-GF family memebers moving forward.
you bakery is cute as a dolls house , but I’m so sorry but is not vegan in what I buy, I been in a vegan diet for years and those chocolate cupcakes and the vanilla wasn’t vegan, the cupcakes was the same taste as little debbie cupcakes and the Vanilla don’t had the vegan taste, at all I actually bake but I don’t had the time at all , sorry but I get disappointed for what I get good luck ?
I can't imagine giving Ramona Susan's anything less than 5 stars. This is by far the best bake shop I've ever been to and not to sound conceited but I've spend significant time in France and this shop beats out quite a few pastry shops in the country that specializes in sweets! Even if they aren't exactly the same sweets, but what Ramona Susan's accomplished that most places don't is a perfect balance of flavor to sweetness.Now, I like chocolate but sometimes chocolate desserts just taste like sugar. I don't taste *the chocolate* but with Ramona Susan's YOU TASTE THE CHOCOLATE AND THE SWEET! This is the case for EVERY SINGLE DESSERT they have. I know it doesn't seem like a big deal but, to me, this in indicative of very high quality and well made desserts. I don't even like peanut butter, but dang I love those peanut butter cookies.Whenever in Philly, I go out of my way to try everything they have on their menu. Not only are the desserts always high quality, but creative, seasonal and perfectly portioned!On top of that, the staff is absolutely wonderful. They are kind and supportive. You can see they like being together and like talking to customers. It's always a joy walking into a place that really stands behind their product and you can tell loves making them. I'm always excited to go in and give myself a treat. I would support Ramona Susan's to the moon and back, because it is truly rare to find a local shop that does such amazing food, at an affordable price, with creative options, with such support for their staff and true love behind their desserts.Please never stop Ramona Susan's <3
Betty and the whole team outdid themselves for my sons 1st birthday. Communication via email was seamless from the start. I was able to customize things how I wanted. I got a yellow butter cake with buttercream frosting as well as birthday cake and chocolate flavor cupcakes with buttercream frosting. We left them out at room temperature before serving and everything was a huge hit. Highly recommend this small business!

Checked this place out when asking about local bakeries. I heard that they were good. So we made the little drive. Neither of us were impressed.Ordered a few things. Six cookies, two 'bars' and a birthday cake cupcake. Didn't question the price until after we were handed the tiny box. The best way to describe it is 'child size dessert portions'. For the price, we didn't think everything would be so small. The pictures are definitely deceiving.Chocolate chip cookies and sugar cookies were nothing to rave about. The peanut butter/jelly one was good. (If anything, go for that one.) The Bailey's Cheesecake/Brownie was too rich/thick and a lot to get through. Didn't real have that cheesecake or brownie texture. My partner got the Apple bar and said it was bland and didn't really taste like anything just plain oats. The birthday cake cupcake honestly was the worst. It just tasted like straight powdered sugar.The highlight of the visit was the woman who waited on us. She was very nice and sweet.
I’ve been happy with this bakery ever since they opened in Fishtown. This is my “go to” bakery for special occasions and when I feel like a cupcake. Our family loves the cupcakes. They are always fresh and moist.
