Simple food done spectacularly. I've eaten plenty of venezuelan food before and yet this place blew my mind. You can taste its authenticity, but its been leveled up. The staff is friendly and the atmosphere makes u feel like youre eating in a family kitchen.
I loved Puyero. The environment was great in here. Very clean. Loved their food: tequeños, empanadas and the patacon of sweet plantains were my favorite. Love the fact that they have a picture menu (have pictures of all their food). I will definitely come back.
Some of the best food I've ever had. I will forever be dragging people here every time I'm in Philly. Fantastic dishes unlike anything you can taste around here. 10/10
I love arepas. Double bonus, empanadas, all GF. They also have a designated fryer folks, so yucca frita are gf too. Whoowhoooo. This was fabulous, what I enjoyed the most was all the sauces. I haven't had so many choices before, each unique, all very tasty. The empanadas change daily, so we had the potato and cheese. Spectacular. Also went with the carne plater which was not overly sweet, just right. I loved the chicken and gouda arepa, the cilantro in the chicken salad brought a brightness to the meal. And they had cilantro lemonade which was tasty too. My friend and i shared, it was great. A great find for the next time I'm in Philly.
This was my first time trying this kind kf food, i forgot what i ordered but it was alright. Im only giving 3 stars because i feel like its too overpriced and DO NOT buy the tostones. Im 100% sure its the frozen ones that you just fry onces, the serving was big for $5 but i couldnt bite any of them because they were so hard and chewy
I loved it.Great Service & Delicious Food.I enjoyed the drink called El Papelon which is called Agua de Panela in Colombia.Arepas...Muy Ricas.Yuca...Deliciosa
I ordered to deliver. And even though it took a minute it was worth the wait lol the food.. imo this is the best patacón spot in phila. Never tried Venezuelan food before but it’s rich in flavor and will deff fill you up or possibly cure a hangover lol highly recommended
Best Venezuelan food in Philadelphia area! Been coming here for years ❤
My wife is from Venezuela....so she agrees with me, this food is amazing. There isn't much in terms of seating inside but the quality of the food is great and you will not leave this place hungry. Try it, you will be happy that you came here.
I love puyero! Ever since they first opened I knew it was a local gem, the arepas are amazing and the sauces are amazing. One thing not to be missed is the tequenos, they are so good and you won't want to put them down. Overall one of my favorite restaurants and a great quick bite if you are in the area.
