My second time here and I ordered the pepperoni pizza again… somehow it was even better than the first time!I dined in store this time, but the pizzas are just as good for takeout. They have communal tables, bar seating, window seating, and bar seating along the open kitchen facing the wood fired oven. If you aren’t in a group, I would highly recommend the bar seating at the kitchen! It was fun watching the chefs make all manner of pizzas, calzones, etc. and guessing which one is yours or what type of pizza they are making next. The communal seating is good if you have a group.Pizzeria Vetri has a full bar as well but we skipped drinks this time around. I’d definitely come back, the atmosphere is homey and the waitress was friendly. Can’t wait to try more of their pizzas!
I give them 5-Stars for their flavors. However I give them 3-stars for the quality of their pizza. I shared this pizza with one other person, it is definitely enough for two people. However you could order your own and take home leftovers. When I grabbed my first slice of pizza every topping slid off the dough and the crust was wet. The next slice I picked up was also missing some of the dough underneath (pictured below). The way they layer the Pepperoni is nice for the amount but because there are so many you can tell the Pepperoni is undercooked, didn’t crisp properly. Definitely not worth $28. The staff working there were incredibly friendly, kudos to them!
Mr. Vetria has a number of restaurants in Phila. This is a casual pizza place with elegant sides and some outdoor seating. It was right opposite the front door of our hotel. No reservations necessary. Open 7 days a week. I recommend.
Easily one of the best Napoletana pizza places in this area. The pizza dough is really light and crispy. The ingredients are good quality. I got the roast fennel sausage pizza and the fennel flavor does not over power the pizza at all. It's mild but has enough presence to elevate the pizza from very good to excellent. Highly recommended!
I would definitely recommend this place! We had the Burrata and Prosciutto board and mushroom pizza, both really good. We also had a seasonal dessert that our amazing server Sascha recommended and it was really good as well. Thank you Sascha!
Stopped in for happy hour and ordered the Margarita and mushroom pizzas. Mushroom was definitely the favorite. Pizza crust was nice and fluffy with the slightest crisp….so good. Our server was great and look after us regularly. Left with a happy belly. Will be back to try other offerings.
This place is SO GOOD. Highly recommend the shrooms pizza, the roasted carrots, and the sesame heirloom salad. Just incredible food and the wait staff is very friendly and welcoming. I will always come back whenever I'm in Philly.
The food is great, although I liked the variety of pizzas better several years ago. My favorites like tonno and salsicia are either not on the menu or have changed noticeably. Nevertheless, it remains one of the better places for Italian pizza. Also I’d really like to have fried dough desert back on the menu.
When placing the order the pickup time was between 6:30pm to 6:40pm... when we got there, the order was sitting in a rack (not heated) already ready for pick-up. We didn't get a notification indicating that it was ready. We were staying in a hotel and had to eat a cold pizza, cold bread-sticks and a cold calzone. Need to improve the accuracy for picking up an order and the notification process.
Arrived into the City late afternoon and was not meeting friends until the next day … so I was Solo, really hungry, and in a hotel. I found Pizzeria Vetri on the UnerEats site — spun the wheel and WON! I could not decide on one of the larger pizzas so I ordered two of the smaller pies — the fennel with sausage and the mushroom with onions (added mozzarella). 24 hours later I am still not sure which was better so, I am calling it a tie and would suggest both. The sizes were perfect, crust was excellent — thin yet not a cracker — and would definitely do Vetri again! Great experience!
