Was looking for a good pizza, thin crust with great mix of toppings. Saw this on Yelp, and decided to try it out. Wood fired oven, really produced an excellent pizza! We enjoyed the sasuage pizza which enjoyed a little pesto kick with long hot peppers ground in. The roasted beets with Barratt on a bed of arugula greens was delicious. Will add to the options going forward.

This is a nice pizza place. I liked their pistachio pizza although in general I am not a huge fan of rosemary. In their margarita the marinara was really nice but a bit too watery. Their fried calamari was crispy although the portion a bit tiny bit small. The gelato unfortunately wasn't exceptional. Kind of mediocre.I would visit again to try another of their pizzas. The value for money is pretty good and some of their pizzas are interesting flavor-wise. The space is nice and their prices are fair. Their service is good as well. Could the pizza be a bit better? Yes. The gelato could have been a lot better actually. But all in all I am satisfied with the experience.

I've had lunch at Stella's twice in the past week, and sat outside both times at tables right at Headhouse Square. The pizzas -- the specialty here -- are freshly made, "gourmet" with thin crust, 12", 6 pieces. About half the choices are red, half white. They're very good. They just seem a little high-priced to me -- fine if they're paying their staff a decent wage. I've had a couple of their salads/sides. I loved the beet salad with ricotta and pecans. The broccoli rabe was also good. Also a fun selection of beverages. The servers are excellent. Very patient and let you take your time. All in all, a solid place for lunch if you have money to spend on it.

We searched and searched for the "best pizza in Philly". We asked a dozen locals and got about 6-7 different places. So we tried Pizzeria Stella based upon their menu and reviews. WE LOVED IT! We tried 3 different pies and all were great. But the one with arugula and prosciutto was beyond great! The pepperoni was good too! The beet salad appetizer was delicious and the octopus was solid. To top it off their homemade gelato was great! The olive oil one was a surprising hit and the mascarpone and honey and chocolate pistachio were really good. The blood orange sorbet was really good too.Service was really good, and the wine choices were also just what we wanted!Overall 5 stars and we will be coming back! I hope they can make a gluten free pizza soon!

We had a wonderful time on Sunday, our server Sunflower was awesome. She did an awesome job explaining the menu and made the specials sound delicious, my brother ordered the pasta one and it was. The food took no time at all and the staff was very friendly. We even had desert and ended up taking some Gelato for the road. Will definitely be back.

My daughter, Stella (!!) and I were visiting from California. Our server was so nice and recommended a wonderful roasted mushroom white pizza. We also had the calamari and a very fresh romaine salad. As we enjoyed our lunch, the weather turned from overcast and cold to snow flurries and robust wind. They told us to stay as long as we needed, which was very kind, but by the time we were done with lunch, the weather had settled. It was a warm and welcoming environment and the food was excellent. Will return and recommend.

The location matches the character and charm of the area. Pizzas are light and airy, while revealing a generous boquet of flavor with each bite. The staff are so friendly and professional, keeping us happy and cared for the whole time. If it's artisan pizza and pasta you're craving, come see Stella!

Fantastic neopolitano pizza. A bit pricey. Pairs wonderfully with a woodrow’s cheesesteak.

pepperoni pizza and minestrone soup.......quick efficient service and everyone was so glad we were there. not a lot of establishments get this.

My husband ordered fried calamari and they put other fried additives in it. I ordered bolognese sauce and it had no chopped meat in it. Had a glass of wine in a water glass. Terrible.place.
