Great service, and great food. Recommend!
I know Pete’s is famous for pizza, but I ordered a sandwich and Greek fries from there (since it was on the menu and I was nearby), and honestly, it was mediocre at best. I know, I know - it’s a Pizza place (why would I get anything else?), but I firmly believe restaurants shouldn’t offer a broad menu if some of it is going to be cruddy, and it seems like that’s what Pete’s has done. If they want to keep to Pizza I think that would be far better for the consumer. To dive into the Greek fries specifically, I’ve had some excellent Greek fries, and if my top were a 5 (at the Athenian Room in Chicago), then these were a 2 at best - oil, spices, and feta, but far too dry and not very hot for my liking.
Great cheesesteak and friendly service. Would definitely recommend if you are looking for a quick and tasty lunch in between museums. Brie and balsamic cheesesteak is definitely worth a try. Would return for sure!
Pete’s was just a few blocks from todays destination, the Academy of Natural Science. The crowded spot was slightly intimidating during these crazy covid times but we were quickly seated at a booth and the friendly masked waitress Janice (or was it Janis) brought us calm comfort. The Caesar salad was large and served with the dressing on the side. It came with a big round soft buttered roll, a pleasant unexpected surprise. The 10” Bella Rosa pizza was yummy with a unique blend of toppings and soft thick crust which I enjoyed more than my thin crust loving companion. We shared both and it was plenty. I can understand why it’s famous?. Convenient location, casual atmosphere, friendly service, good food, and reasonable pricing puts this place on my list of return to places and entitles it to all the stars.
Our favorite pizza place, but I wish they'd get more organized with delivery. Second time in a row where something's happened and I've had to call asking where my pizza is and my pizza was then made at that moment because something went wrong. The first time I ordered over the phone, the second time I ordered via the Slice app. I just get a "sorry" while my toddler is sitting waiting for dinner. The pizza and in-person service I'd give 5 stars!
Pizza was so amazing! Service was great!
Thin pizza with just the right amount of bubbles on the crust. Good ratio of sauce to cheese and even though the slices were on the smaller size, they were still filling. We also got the fried fish sandwich, chicken tenders, and chocolate chip cookie, all of which were very good! For big orders, I suggest calling in ahead so you don't have to wait at the restaurant. They've also got a good selection of beer to pair with your meal
Shared a pizza and fries with the boyfriend who introduced me this place. Small space but was still able to eat in comfortably spaced from others. The pizza was the best I had in a while! With so many changes with groceries and restaurants due to COVID it was nice to be able to enjoy reasonably priced, flavorful pizza with perfectly crisped fries. The delicious classic!
Pete’s has quickly become our favorite local restaurant in Philly. The food is always good, whether you’re chowing down on pizza or enjoying a hot and filling plate of pasta. Try the Meatball Stromboli and the Rocky Alla Vodka! The folks who work here are always great, the drink selection is surprisingly huge, and the atmosphere is fun and relaxed. And don’t forget about the opportunity for food AND adult beverage delivery too. 10/10, we visit at least once a week. Happy to have this in our neighborhood!
This was a lovely, quaint little pizza parlour. This place has a great vibe. Our waiter was quite pleasant and helpful. The burgers were juicy, the fries were crispy, the pizza was cheesy, and the salad was crisp and delicious. Here, the food was delicious. Good sized meals at a reasonable price. I'll surely return!
