"Supposedly" the best Cheesesteak... I beg to differ. The location itself was old and definitely needed work. The food was luke warm, cheese NOT melted, and the bread was cold. I will say the french fries were quite tasty, but not enough I would ever go back.
Not my first time in Philadelphia but was my wife's so we were doing tourist things. I made sure she would get to experience different sandwiches on this trip !!! It would be incomplete without the Philly cheesesteak sandwich. Had to try Geno's steaks as it is popular. We decided to give them a try (split the sandwich) then head to the competition and do the same. Definitely not disappointed with the decision.. We went for the Wit peppers and onions steak with shrooms, provolone....and oh my, it was so delicious!!! I added some peppers for extra kick and it was perfect. I highly recommend.Only negative... it’s cash only.Line wasn't long when we got there.Pro tip the have a line just for sandwichesThey also have a line just for fries and drinks.Respectfully,BryanOklahoma City
I ate here mainly because it claims to be the originator of the cheesesteak and was featured in "Rocky." Both points make it a fun spot, but the cheesesteak itself was just average. The bread was good, but the provolone was hardly melted and the steak could have been better seasoned. Alright if you enjoy the nostalgia. Cash only.
The cheesesteak is only available in what would be a footlong size if you were comparing the size at Subway. Having two windows, one for sandwiches and one for sodas and fries, allows for fast service. Seating is at metal tables outside only. My companion felt that the cheesesteak was just so-so. He said he has gotten better cheesesteaks at chain fast food restaurants. The fish cake was awful. It didn't even taste like fish but more like mashed potatoes. The birds appreciated it though. Fountain soda (the size that McDonald's calls their medium) was $4. Way over-priced.
Fast and great service. First time checking it out, but won’t be the last.
First time having an authentic philly cheesesteak. What better place to get it from than the world famous Pat's. No complaints about this experience! Ordered through DoorDash. Sandwich came well wrapped and packaged. The CheezWiz was just starting to get a little dry but this is why I ordered with provolone, if you prefer the wiz, best to order onsite and eat while it's hot! Wasn't that big of deal for me.
An employee was very rude to my husband. He used vulgar language towards him. Subs weren't that good. Will be going to Gino's next time.
Taste was great and order was in my hand before I could turn around. I thought it was a bit pricey at $13, but also understand it it a major tourist trap. Would go back again, but always make sure you have cash and plenty of it.
Don’t think it was worth the hype, was just okay. Staff was EXTREMELY rude which is the main reason I won’t be back.
Really loved Pat's! Super quick service, prices ranging from 10-20 USD, great service. Got the Philly with extra Provolone, it was amazing!Had to use Pat's spicy sauce and some chili's they had to add a kick to it.Note: they only take cash.
