Classic spot in the neighborhood. It gets busy during the rush, but no more than other top-tier delis in the city. Call ahead during the rush hours and you’ll have no issue at all. I’ve read some reviews where people have called them rude, but it’s a very small old-school Italian Deli in South Philadelphia. I have no issues with the service at all. Go for the incredible food and you won’t be disappointed. Great spot.

This is by far the best deli around, EVERYTHING is homemade, they put there heart and soul into this place and you can tell. Top notch and the deli is emasculated. Friendly staff with quality service and dynamite food!!!! Ps. Fast and friendly delivery also?????
I recently stopped in your Deli to do some nice shopping after work.I am giving you a one star not for your food because everything is very very good. My complaint is your staff, they are very rude and ill-mannered.When I walked in your deli the women behind the counter just stared at me, without a hello, smile or greeting. I asked a question about the eggplant parmesan and the woman had a disgusting look on her face. They all have an attitude problem. They need a lesson in manners. My bill that day was $75.00, and did not even get a Thank You. I wasn't getting anything for nothing. No customer should be treated in that way. To the OWNER you need a new friendly staff. You would never believe this is an Italian Establishment in South Philly. Remember a SMILE & KINDNESS goes a long way. To the Owner I feel I deserve a response to my post. It seems like you only respond to the 5 star posts and ignore the not so good ones. Diane Ranieri
I get the chicken cutlet sandwich from here. I try a different one every time. Sandwich is filling. Cutlet could be a little more crispy but still a good sandwich. I also had their Italian hoagie
The Italian Hoagie here is, for my money, the best in the city. I've had many throughout my 10 years here, and you can't beat it.
